    Netherby Halls by Claudy Conn
In 1815 we find Sassy Winthrop in Sutton Village. The small English village where she has grown up as the vicar's daughter. She has lost all she loves in the past few years and must now depend on a family friend for help. There is more to Sassy than her heart stopping beauty and she must always control her hidden secrets. There is also much more to Sassy’s new home at Netherby Hall, much more than just a home for the orphan daughters of the Gentry.

The Eighth Marquis of Dartmour,  Justin Dartmour, is known as a rake, a rogue and even a libertine. There are other words to describe him but the people around him are not aware of those. When he has an odd hallucination while seeing a beautiful young woman across the street one day, he is never quite the same. Especially when their paths cross again and again.

I really enjoyed this story. There were quite a few twists and turns. Who to trust or not trust, missing people and clandestine meetings in the dead of night. It has a bit of the dark side of life as well, the darkness that comes from greed. And of course romance.
    **Sexual content and mild language

This enchanting tale has it all. Claudy never stops amazing me with her wonderful tales. Claudy's books always deliver and fulfill.
It doesn't matter what genre you prefer she has a way of combining genres that make you wow in amazement.
Especially this book. I love historical romance but when there is a paranormal twist to it, it makes it even better for me. Its one of my favorite genres for sure, the best of both worlds.

This tale has love, lust, passion, magic, suspense, mystery, mayhem and murder. This book kept me glued to my kindle from beginning to end. I just couldn't seem to put it down.

Sassy, a somewhat naive beauty is left parent less. She is confused about what is going on inside her. She is trying to make sense of everything happening to her. Seeing the man that appears in her dreams on the street one day changes everything. Will she ever be the same?

Justin, a handsome marquis with secrets of his own sees the beauty who comes to him in his dreams. He knows right then that things have changed and he needs more of her.

When Sassy, and Justin finally meet sparks fly and they cannot deny what they feel. The mystery starts, so hold on tight because you are in for a delight!!!!

Claudy Conn gives us just the right amount of background to each character. I often find myself bored when an author goes on and on about a characters background but that never happens to me with Claudy's characters.

    I thoroughly enjoyed this book!

I love Claudy's paranormal series and I love her historicals, so when I saw that she had released a book that was a historical romance with paranormal elements, I knew I had to read it!  Once again, she did not disappoint.  This book has mystery, romance, suspense, and magic.  I love Sassy.  She is a strong and independent woman.  Life may not have dealt her the cards when would have wanted, but she makes the best of them and ends up finding herself at Netherby Hall where, because of her magical abilities, she senses the evil that is ever present there.  Add to this her overwhelming and confusing feelings for the man of her actual dreams, who happens to be far above her station in life and may have secrets of his own, and you are in for a fun read.

I LOVED this book and I would give it 7 stars if I could. I fell in love with this story, from the moment it started. How can you go wrong with a historical romance with a paranormal twist..

I adored Sassy and absolutely fell in love with the "dreamy" Marquis. This story pulled me in from the beginning and I loved the twists and turns that made this an incredible story.

Thanks Claudy for another amazing book. :)

Another of Claudys wonderful Books. As I was reading I soon figured out what Sassy was and I had a suspicion that Justine had a similar talent.
I really enjoyed this book and look forward to more adventures with this couple.

REVIEW  We are in Sutton Village, England and its the year of 18

    REVIEW
We are in Sutton Village, England and its the year of 1815.
Enter Sassy Winthrop a 21 yr old who is a white witch just coming into her powers. The only persons
who know this are her mother who passed away 2 years ago and her now ailing/dying father The Vicar.
Sassy keeps having vivid dreams of a man with hair as dark as the night sky and eyes so blue.
She doesn't know who the man is or why she is dreaming of him at first. She sees him before she moves
away and runs the other way.

After Sassy's father passes away she has to move in with her mothers best friend and it is here where
Sassy takes on a teaching position at Netherby Halls where things are very evil. So now Sassy must not only
protect herself but the girls she teaches at the school. Has her powers strengthened enough and will she
    know how to use them?
Soon Sassy discovers the name of the man who is in her visions is none other than Justin Dartmour.
She wants to run away again but something pulls her to Justin. Sassy has heard what others have said
about Justin Dartmour that he is a womanizer. Can she grab and hold on to Justin's Heart?

I just love Claudy Conn's books and this like the many before it I have read just grabs me til I am
done reading it. I would highly recommend any of her books !! Yes there is some sexual content but she
uses it all gracefully in her books !

    My Favorite!

I own over 20 of this author's books, and I loved this unusual good witch story. Such a different paranormal book, with magic, intrigue, suspense and love! There is lovemaking, but not the erotic type. If you read romance stories, you know the sex can be the story, but not with Ms. Conn storytelling. (Ljb)

One of the better books I have read. Not outstanding, but good reading for a night or two.

    Reader 101

This is my second Claudy Conn book, and I must admit she writes an enthralling story. Unfortunately, her endings are just ...there! They leave me wondering if she got tired of writiing the story.

Loved Sassy and Justin and their story as it unfolded. Her historical understanding is genuine and draws the reader in. Her characters are richly developed and jump off the page. A great read with a flat ending:(

Netherby Halls had potential, but it fell flat for me.  The characters dialog seemed forced.  Iit just didn't flow, and sounded false.  Also, there were way too many exclamation points in the dialog.  Really, waaaaaay too many.
