    NETWORKS - Design and Management, by registered professional engineer and academician Steven T. Karris, is an excellent resource written especially for students and working professionals who need to absorb the latest on state-of-the-art orientation regarding networking devices quickly and efficiently. Individual chapters address networking basics, the OSI model and IEEE standards, protocols and interfaces, Ethernet networking, LAN connection devices, wireless networks, networks designs, and an introduction to the Simple Network Management Protocol (SNMP) and Remote Monitoring (RMON) along with true/false, multiple choice, and other self-test problems to reinforce the reader's self-teaching. NETWORKS - Design and Management is clearly recommended as being a first-rate instructional reference and guide.
