Description: This book uses interesting questions and answers to cover most of issues encountered in neurology rounds and practice. It is especially useful for residents and students.
Purpose: It provides a systemic and succinct review for students and residents for study in neurology, from basic neuroscience to the clinical setting. This objective is definitely worthy, and has been met.
Audience: According to the editor, the audience is students and residents; I feel it is appropriate for general practitioners as well. The editor is a credible authority in the subject matter.
Features: This book covers the most common issues encountered in neurology, especially in rounds. Useful, updated basic neuroscience is also provided. The best feature of this book is that it uses interesting questions and excellent answers to cover the most interesting and important issues in neurology rounds. Unique features include updated neuroscience and neurology trivia. The only shortcoming is the quality of some pictures. I recommend that these may be improved in the future.
Assessment: This user-friendly, pocket size neurology book includes interesting questions and excellent answers. It is especially good for students and residents to use at the bedside and on rounds. It is also beneficial for other practitioners who may encounter neurological problems in practice, and for resident in-service exams.
