Meet the Author

Maureen Sullivan has been a Registered Nurse for over 30 years. She is also a CEN (Certified Emergency Nurse) and a CDE (Certified Diabetic Educator) Most of her nursing career has been spent in emergency rooms and trauma centers, and she learned early on to use humor as a defense against some of the horrors of the ER. Along the way she accumulated a wealth of stories which formed the basis for this book. Some are funny, some are poignant, and some are bizarre, but her Irish wit and “gift of gab” makes them all highly entertaining!

Maureen and her husband reside in the Tampa Bay area of Florida. Maureen has recently taken a sabbatical from bedside nursing in order to concentrate on writing, speaking, and teaching. She is available for diabetic, stroke, and emergency medicine education, humorous medical lectures, and stand-up comedy. Her comedy is clean, but no topic is off limits!

    A must read for nurses!

I've been a nurse for several years and I loved the stories in this book! Ms. Sullivan has captured the essence of the emergency room in a very unique way. My only critique is that I wish the book was longer, it definitely left me wanting more!
