Never Been Texted was a quick, entertaining read. What I liked most about it was how much personality the characters and the town had. It made the book more unique and kept the pages turning. While it is somewhat a "twist" on Cinderella, it didn't give the vibe of "I've heard this story a million times." The only "complaint" I have is that the characters felt more like 13 or 14 than 16 (except Rory). But that didn't really take away from the story. It's a book worth picking up if you like midgrade or young adult novels or if you're looking for a gift for a young teen.
