Persi reconnects with Nick Betancourt, a former college classmate of Brad's who's playing saxophone at Bricktop's Jazz Club. Reluctantly, Persi begins to date the free-spirited Nick, and is slowly seduced by his charm. What begins as a carefree adventure through the French countryside with no past, no future, and no designs on permanence, turns into something much deeper. The couple gets married in Monte Carlo and returns to their Paris flat. Persi settles into the role of Mrs. Nick Betancourt and deems herself fulfilled, content, and happyuntil Brad shows up at their front door one day, announcing that he's left his wife for good. The decision is Persi's. Does she return to her former lover, who is finally offering marriage, or does she remain with her husband and see where their newfound love leads?

A great full length read. It kept my attention and left me wanting to read more about this couple.
I.. LOVE... THIS... BOOK!!!!! This had everything I look for when I read a romance novel. Persi and Nick did not jump right in the bed they became friends first and oh what a sweet journey. Their story is so sweet, I did not want this to end. This is a must read. Good job Ms. Gunn!
The summary on the back of this book, "Never Been to Me," does not do this book justice. This is a wonderful and believable tale of a woman who finds her self-worth and realizes she's much better than the relationship she's in. She meets and takes a liking to Nick - but as a perfect mate for her best friend Desi. Once she finds out what Desi already knows, Nick only has eyes for her, she falls into a fulfilling relationship that best is described as blissful. She soon forgets about Brad, the man she played mistress to for over five years. The story goes on to tell of the amazing relationship that develops between Persi and Nick and it holds you until the very last word. Author Gigi Gunn does a wonderful job at describing places and emotions in a way that you feel what Persi is feeling and you can vividly imagine the locations where the story takes place. This is a feel good book. It's a book that gives a woman hope that the "good ones" are still available. We can relate to Persi. I have recommended this book to my fellow book worm friends. Five years, Persiphone "Persi" Sinclair has been having an affair with Brad Shelton, under the assumption he will soon leave his wife and marry her. When Brad can't make it for her 35th birthday celebration, he sends old college friend and well known sax player Nick Betancourt to break the news. Persi wants to hook Nick up with her best friend Doxie, but Nick would rather date her instead. When Brad decides to break things off, Persi accepts a job in Paris to help develop a new perfume. Nick shows up for a club performance and he and Persi decide to explore France as friends. Of course they don't remain friends very long. When Brad shows up, who will Persi choose after professing love for both? Gigi Gunn has touched all the reader's senses by providing French food for teasing one's taste, descriptions of various Paris and French locations for sight, Nick's soulful sax playing for hearing, the smell of Tiffany's perfume mix, and feel by turning pages of an enjoyabe read, indeed.
