Never Enough? Oh.....I've had quite enough, thank you very much!

For the publisher's price of $10, I want $9.99 of it back. This book was not good at all and yet another dull new release by Lauren Dane. The premise of the story was interesting.a man falls in love with his son's adoptive mother who happens to be his baby momma's sister. Very interesting concept and quite twisty! It could have been a great read but there were several things that stopped it from being that and took it away from the "feel" of the other books Brown series.

First, is it just me or did the story just end abruptly...again? Once and Again ended abruptly as well. I was shaking my Kindle to see if it would magically produced the high-jacked pages to the end of book. But sadly.no. No more pages.no more story.just "Author's Notes". Sorry Lauren.but honestly, I don't care about your notes! What I wanted was a true ending to that story. It was like she got tired and just stopped. C'mon Lauren! You really can do better than this. You got me twice in one week and I am not impressed with this new "style" of writing.

Second, did Lauren fire her editor? Or.maybe her editor is on sabbatical? Clearly, one or both of them are vacationing on a beach in Tahiti, sipping Mai Tai's, and no one is mining the store. There were so many typos, grammatical errors, and incorrect word usage that I was just shocked. Are there any vestiges of the author formerly known as Lauren Dane? It's like this book was written by an entirely different person. Either that or Lauren rushed to get these books out on her publishers timetable. B-A-D.I-D-E-A! Also, there was one line towards the end of the book that just really should have been edited out. Really! Gillian and Adrian talked dirty to each other during all the sex scenes...their characters apparently got off on it. It was like bad porn but I stomached it.although some of the lines were cheesier than Velveeta. But...I had to re-read this line to be sure my mind processed what my eyes were seeing. I had an honest-to-God, "she DID NOT put THAT there" moment. Adrian tells Gillian, "I want to rut on you." Really.rut on her?!?! I think Lauren got confused for a minute and borrowed a line that could have appeared in one of her Cascadia Wolves book. But even then.this line is so unbelievably crass that it borders on disgusting. SMH at you Lauren.

Moving forward, the romance happened way too quickly. He is downright nasty towards her at first. He loudly calls her a money-grubbing whore in public and then uses his lawyers to tell her that she can't contact him. Adrian is apparently schizophrenic and doesn't realize that he's contacted her every time, sans the first, when they dealt with each other. He doesn't even want to listen to what she has to say about Miles. Brody and Erin have to practically bully him into going to visit her. He shows up at her house unannounced and within minutes, even while they're still outside, he is "thrusting" his tongue into her mouth. Seriously?!?! Get real. If Adrian Brown had done to me, or any other red-blooded woman, what he did to Gillian, he would scooping his entrails off the ground and super-gluing his "junk" back into place. Kissing would SO NOT have been on the list of my things to do to him at that moment.

The story just grated on me in several places but it could have been a gem if it wasn't for the poor writing, bad grammar, and non-existent editing. I hate to be so judgmental.....but, paying $10 for uninspired drivel gave me that right.

The latest Brown heated family drama (see Laid Bare) is an engaging contemporary

Thirteen years ago her older sister Tina called Gillian Forrester to tell her she is at a hospital giving birth. Gillian rushed over to be with Tina and her newborn nephew Miles who she adopts and raises as her own.

Just before dying ironically at the same hospital she gave birth to Miles, Tina makes her sibling give a death bed promise to her. Gillian fears performing her late sibling's request as she does not want to lose her beloved teenage nephew. Still, she informs rock star Adrian Brown that he is the father of a thirteen years old son. He has doubts but is attracted to the prim and proper Gillian. She feels the same way about him but after her abusive childhood trusts no one. Adrian's oldest brother Brody (see Coming Undone) intervenes when he informs his sibling that if he fails to get his act together he will lose a chance to spend time with his offspring and with the woman the father and son love.

The latest Brown heated family drama (see Laid Bare) is an engaging contemporary that refreshes the ploy of a man not knowing he sired a child. The Brown family plays support roles with the patriarch Brody the key support. Miles is a confused teen excited to learn of his extended family especially a rocking dad. However, the erotic story line belongs to the protagonists who distrust relationships.

    Must Read!!

I was fortunate to receive an ARC of this and I must say Ms. Dane has produced yet another GREAT story. Fans of the Brown Siblings' will love getting an opportunity to "visit" with the characters again as well as meeting Gillian's friends. Gillian is fantastic! She may well be my favorite heroine yet. She and Adrian are like spontaneous combustion, sparks can't help but fly at every encounter. Their story is so REAL, so visceral, the characters are at times so likeable and yet at times so screamingly frustrating. It is so easy to become totally wrapped up in these two and you close the book feeling as though two of your best friends just got a real world HEA. You know, if you happened to be friends with one of the biggest rock stars in the world or something. ;)

    Awesome

    ## First and foremost let me say: This book should have had an epilogue. It needed it, being the last in this series and because issues were left unresolved between the main couple and the Brown family. That being said, I adored the rest of this book. I absolutely LOVED the heroine. She was fun, talented, strong and kind. And Adrian was YUM. Okay he had a few 'Whiskey, Tango, Foxtrot ?' moments, but he was oh so 'fine'. What a FABULOUS series. The only book that I didn't completely love is book 3. Cope and Ella's story. Literally half that book was about others and not the main couple. And when their obligitory conflict came, it was just....stupid. He wants to break up because she could possibly die at some point? Gah. All other three books were incredible! For maximum pleasure, I highly recommend reading in order #1, #2 and #4.

    A True Reading Treat!

This series will grab and turn your non-reader friends INTO reading fiends! The characters are real and quite raw, both flawed, and flawless and utterly unforgettable! Ms. Dane is a master at her craft leaving one feeling shocked to finish the story only to realize they aren't real. and desperate for the next chapter in the Brown Siblings lives.

    Loved the Brown Siblings Series

I enjoyed Adrian's story as much as the others in this series. Being a celebrity, Adrian had to be very wary of anyone claiming he was the father of their son so I could understand his reaction to Gillian when he first met her, although he could have been less nasty. Once he realizes that Miles really is his son, his relationship with Gillian becomes smoking hot very quickly. And, when he meets his son, they bond very fast. The fact that his "mum" and dad are together makes Miles extremely happy and even helps keep them together and become a family. I liked the hot sex between Adrian and Gillian and became emotional when he finds out about her father. Although, I feel he was very wrong, as was his sister, Erin, to write Gillian off so quickly, I enjoyed the fact that he realized he was the one who was wrong and tried to get her back, not giving up until they were back together again. I also liked reading about all the other members of the family and loved Brody's influence on Adrian. The one thing I did not like about this story was that it ended too abruptly. I felt like there should have been more.

I absolutely loved Adrian, Gillian and Miles's story. It was heart-warming and emotional. However, I will say that everyone needs to learn to communicate better, out of the three of them, Miles was the best commnicator. Adrian and Gillian both had trust issues, which caused problems in the relationship that could have been overcome a lot sooner had they commnicated with each other. I felt bad for Adrian having missed all those years of Miles's life, because he did not know he had a son. Adrian is a great uncle and deserved to have been allowed to be a great dad to his own kid from the beginning. Although I didn't like his reaction to Gillian in the beginning when she tried to tell him about Miles, I understood it. He is a super gorgeous rockstar who already has been falsely accused of fathering a child and constantly has people invading his privacy, so for Gillian to just think that he would be open and accepting to her saying a kid was his was a bit childish on her behalf.

I also thought Gillian needed to do a much better job commnicating with Adrian. She felt like because she had brought him and Miles together that was all she owed him. Umm...NO!! You are in a relationship with him, so you have to communicate with him. Adrian opened himself up to Gillian and told her extremely personal and hurtful things about him and his family, and Gillian refused to do the same. No one is saying that she had to lay everything on the line immediately, but she owed him more honesty than she was giving him. Did Adrian react badly to finding out that Gillian could sing? Yes, but that along with what followed could have been prevented if she talked to him. He wasn't going to judge her, he loved her.

Loved the book. Only sorry I read the last in the series first!

I loved the family dynamics in the story. The whole family seemed united in their goal to protect the child. They weren't perfect and accepted the flaws in each other with humor and love. I have since purchased all the books in the series and read each one. The theme flows through out. Could hardly put each down as I read them.

    Fantastic Read

I have always felt in choosing a book, the blurb on the back is so important, the author is always a consideration and the little excerpts that you find on blog is a great resource. Never in all my years have I chosen a book just by looking at the cover.until now. Wow!! Just seeing this cover, I wanted to know the story of this man. Then I realize it is the work of Lauren Dane, and then I find it is the finale of her Brown family saga. This is Adrian's story--sexy, studly Adrian the rock star whom I have followed for three books. I am a happy woman!!

Super rock star Adrian Brown is just returning to the stage after a self imposed exile to retool, to reboot, to reacquaint himself with the family he adores. He is home, doing what he loves the most. He is a rock star with everything he wants, except a woman to share his different lifestyle, the lifestyle of a celebrity. As a celebrity he has had his share of cons, stalkers and just plain crazies but nothing prepared him for a phone call out of the blue announcing a son he never knew he had.

Gillian Forrester is the perfect mom but she is a mom by no choice of her own, and is raising her sister Tina's child. Thirteen years later on her death bed, Tina finally tells Gillian the name of the father and makes her promise to contact him. How does she explain this to her child but most importantly how does she explain this to his father?

Believing she is about to blackmail him, Adrian reluctantly meets with Gillian and her son and begins a relationship that is going to totally change his life. Surrounded by all the Browns and their extended families, Gillian and Miles become the center of Adrian's life and the direction of his future. Not exactly getting off with a great start, Gillian and Adrian find a connection and an attraction that brings them together not only as parents but as lovers as well. Adrian is the dark, sexy, dirty talker that Gillian longs for in her bed and she becomes the angel that stirs his emotions and desires so much that he cannot stay away from her.

Nobody writes family like Lauren Dane. The Browns are an eclectic group of loving individuals that leap off of every page. They are personable, attractive, comforting and their family dynamic is real and relatable. At every turn they draw you in and keep you here. There is never an uncomfortable moment, or regret their movements and decisions. I must admit after developing somewhat of a relationship with the Browns and with Lauren Dane, her character of Gillian is not exactly personable or endearing at first. She is distant, combative and even a little snobbish, but the continued attention and determination of the Browns soften her exterior and her heart. It is a treat to watch the defensive walls built by both of the characters slowly come tumbling down.

When it comes to family drama and romance you will never go wrong with a Lauren Dane novel. This is one of her best!!

    Great story!!!

I highly recommend this. Though I would recommend the others first. You could always read this as a stand alone. However if you do then you'll miss the wonderful relationship the three siblings have with each other and there spouses. There aren't many books of Lauren Danes I haven't read all of them great stories.
