A Must Read for anyone involved with a compulsive gambler

I highly recommend this book to anyone that is involved with a compulsive gambler,or anyone that desires more knowledge of the addiction. I was involved over two years with a compulsive gambler and had no knowledge when I met him of this addiction. I watched as it unfolded before me, and it was painful to watch. I finally decided that to love this man was to set boundaries, and say no help then I have to walk....I can not be part of this insanity. He never could understand why I could not go with him to casinos, as in the beginning I did. This is all he had money to do with me, the comps and all. HE works full time, sits in a mostly unheated apt., with little food at 60 years of age. I still love him very much, but there is nothing more I can do but pray. This book took so much courage for Michael to write. I know he was only able to come out on the other side because he had the love of family and friends.(but they did not enable him) So many have lost it all.... primary relationships, along with all the material things. After being in a relationship with a compulsive gambler I could relate with so much, and it also made me understand some things that I have struggled with. I praise Michael for his work reaching out helping others, through his book and the many lectures that he gives. Thank you Michael for sharing the truth about this addiction.

    An inspirational true story.....

This book is a "must read" for people who struggle with addiction themselves, and for those whose lives are impacted by addiction.
