As I used to work for the U.S. Courts, I knew Judge Wright. He is a kind, fun, funny, and brilliant man. As you'll see in his book, he is a straight-talker. He is definitely a favorite in the courthouse. I bought this book at a local Lit Fest, and since I knew him and missed working around him, I didn't hesitate to buy it. His positive attitude about people, life, and the justice system is inspiring. In the book he discusses a little about his life, some of his cases from his private practice days, and many of the cases that came to his federal docket. If you have even a general interest in legal processes, and particularly what it is like to be a federal judge, it's definitely a fascinating, quick and worthy read. The book's informative but has a casual, conversational tone that makes it enjoyable to read. He doesn't hesitate to point out the flaws in the legal system, the government, etc. He's a down-to-earth, honest man, and it shows. If you are looking for a good book about a fascinating and good man, and want to learn about federal legal proceedings and tidbits about life along the way, this is the book for you. He peppers his stories with humor and insight, as he does in real life. Was this review helpful? Yes NoThank you for your feedback. Report this reviewThank you, this review has been flagged.
