Fourth in the USA TODAY bestselling Leigh Koslow Mystery Series!

"A well-paced, solidly plotted mystery...All the answers are not immediately apparent, keeping the tension high throughout...Leigh is a very likable character...Charming."--The Mystery Reader

"A nicely twisted tale...light reading for a quiet evening."--I Love a Mystery

No one told Cara why her father abandoned her when she was a baby.

They had their reasons.

Gil March is lying, he's sneaking around, and he's certainly not acting like his usual too-perfect self. But could he really be cheating on Leigh's cousin Cara? Leigh doesn't think so, but when Cara shows up in the middle of the night with tears in her eyes, Leigh is determined to find out. Little does she know that what Gil is hiding is only the tip of an iceberg. There are more than a few things her family hasn't told her about the circumstances of her cousin's birth--and the reality is chilling.

Very enjoyabke series. Likable characters, good plots, just the ticket as a commuter book, before bed, or a rainy day read. Pittsburgh references make me smile.

Leigh really thought she knew her family. Imagine her surprise when she finds they have been keeping a 30-year old secret:Cara's long-lost father shows up, along with a criminal record and a man out to kill him. For once, Leigh tries to keep a level head and stay out of trouble. But trouble seems to follow her around. Edie Claire's Leigh Koslow Mysteries series just keep getting better and better!

Good story but not my favorite. This book was more of a suspense story rather than a true mystery. It is a very enjoyable series though. I love Edie Claire's easy, light writing style. All her books have a touch of humor which I find very enjoyable. Great, likeable characters. Still some editing issues. Would recommend this series.

Easy reading suspense. No serious violence in spite of the murders. Some light humor. No sex, just some clean love.

It took me a while to get into the first book but after I did I loved it & all the rest in the series.

The story was good, but whoever proof read it did not do a very good job. Some of the grammar and tenses caused me to lose my train of thought. This has happened in her other books, too.
