    Very romantic

I loved that the fact he was from a high class family and she was from a middle class family but it didnt stop them from loving each other and also when he was ill she didnt give up hope. This short story shows that with love you can get threw the bad and come out on top. Great read

    Sweet endless love

Felix and Louise's short 107 page story of their love for one another is very touching and sweet. They met when she was 6 and he was 10. Their different levels of social status kept these soul mates apart until Felix comes home from war a broken man. No matter what happened, their promise of love years earlier could not be denied.

    One of a kind

I've never read a romance novel quite like this one before. Not your typical love story for sure but a good, quick read none the less.

A nice short that told a unique regency story. It really had all the elements of a full-length novel but was a wonderful quick read. I almost wish there had been less backstory that maybe could have been explained as she nursed him back to health. I'd read more from the author, especially if she wrote about Felix's mother or sisters.

Never Love Another by Suzy Stewart Dubot
If you are looking for shorter, quick read stories….this is definitely a great choice!
Louise fell in love at age six. Felix, being the older man, was ten. They met on "their" log for the next ten years. Sharing and their lives. Felix had been sent off to school and would return to their log so they could once again catch up. By sixteen years old….he had no doubts about being in love with the lovely Louise.

So he waits for her to age a few years and they get married and live happily ever after….eeerrrrrttt. Nope. You see Felix is an aristocrat and Louise is a farmer's daughter. There can not be a happy ending and his parents make sure of it. Just when he comes home with skills to work and support her as his wife….he founds out his father has bought him a commission in the King’s army.

The story begins six years later. Louise has assumed Felix dead but has never loved another. And Felix does return home, somewhat. This is a story of true love breaking down boundaries both physically and mentally. It’s only about 22 pages, but has the impact of a full blown story. You might even want to keep your tissues handy.
    **Mild sensual situations.
