In this zoo, the most dangerous species isn't behind bars...

With her fledgling advertising business a little short on cash, copywriter Leigh Koslow decides that a part-time job at the local zoo might be just what she needs. Unfortunately, stumbling onto a grisly crime scene behind the tiger run is not. When she realizes that the victim was her new boyfriend's ex, things look bad. But when the police discover that she was also Leigh's high school nemesis, things get worse. Getting out of this jam will require more than a little help from her friends, because if the law doesn't put Leigh away--the real killer well might!

"A witty tale peopled with very amusing characters...Claire does a fine job in plotting and the solution is bound to surprise you."--Romantic Times

"This is a riveting, mind-blowing book with an ending that will leave you in shock. This book is well written, and the plot is perfect for any mystery lover. The characters are well formed and very easy to picture. Leigh comes across as a caring, strong-willed amateur sleuth. I loved this one, and with the cliffhanger Ms. Claire leaves at the end, I can't wait for the next Leigh Koslow book."--Mystery News

"In her second mystery, Edie Claire again shows an affinity for solid plotting and engaging characters. Twists and turns abound in Never Sorry as Leigh learns what happens when the myth of high school crush becomes reality."--Fort Lauderdale Sun Sentinel

"A provocative puzzler with a real grabber of an ending. You'll never look at a zoo the same way again."--Selma Eichler

This book is about 350 pages and still manages to be a fast read. I read the first book in this series of six, quite some time ago and bought this, the second, because I wanted something not hard core or sappily romantic to read. It fullfilled my need for a soft murder mystery. There were some pretty glaring editorial mistakes, which made me reread a bit, but not enough of them to make me grind my teeth in frustration. The murders, while only mildly described, left a clear picture of the carnage. To me this is a sign of a good writer. I enjoyed the characters, they seemed to have on the mark, human feelings. No sex, no cursing. Good friends and family looking out for each other. I would have given this book a better rating if not for left out words and knowing whodunit at the end of the second chapter. I enjoyed this book. I will, read the third book at some time. More a woman' s mystery. Ages 16 and up. AD

Second in a series of 6 , great reads! These are well constructed murder mysteries with a likeable female " heroine" . Got one on Nook but bought the series in paperback so I could send them to my sister. There are just enough red herrings to keep you guessing. Plots flow eadily and are not contrived. Settings are unique and fun. Like Edie Claire on Facebook and you may be able to carry on a conversation with her. She seems like a real sweetheart.

I have a slight case of ADD and a book really has to grab me.  I have about 10 books going at any given time, most of which have been on my ongoing reading list for 2 or 3 years because I just can't get through them.  I picked up this book and let me just say, I was thoroughly impressed and entertained! I'm now on book 4 and have been reading straight through these.  Definitely a cozy mystery series with an edge of excitement.  Lovable and personable characters, humor, and really good plot twists.  A must read for any cozy mystery lover!

Another light, easy read. This second book of the series has a few more editing errors such as missing words, etc. than the first book. Likeable characters. The author's description of events, leaves no doubt in your mind as to what happened without all the shock value. An easy to follow, good mystery without all the gore and violence. Enjoyable series. Somewhat predictable plot.

The book was good; really enjoyed it. But if you try to reread or lend it out, it comes up about 200 pages short of the ending and will not go past that point. So it's only good for a one time read. 4 stars for the story and 1 star for barnes and noble interface.

Edie Claire had the ability to grab you from page one!  This second book in the Leigh Koslow series is better than the first.  I thought  the first one was pretty awesome.  You will not be sorry if you read this book - but read #1 first if you haven't already.  These books are "feel good" reads.  So far no sex or bad language.  You will enjoy!!

This is a very good quick read series. The characters are likable and real. I have always been a " Murder She Wrote" fan and this is along the same line. No explicit gore or sex but the action and friendships keep your interest as the heroine finds herself involved in murder and unusual situations. I have read three of this series and am sure I will continue to read the rest. I would say it is a woman's book. Coffee, nook and enjoy.
