Never Wipe Your Ass with a Squirrel: A trail running, ultramarathon, and wilderness survival guide for weird folksby Jason Robillard
The Squirrel Wipe project is an unorthodox primer to the adventurous world of trail running and ultramarathons by ultrarunner and author of 'The Barefoot Running Book' Jason Robillard. The tips provided throughout the book range from practical to weird as Robillard sets out to teach others how to run ridiculously long distances through the wilderness based on his endless self-experimentation. This book goes where no other ultrarunning book dares by covering topics like testicle shaving and methods to get rid of annoying training partners. This book replicates a drunken conversation at a local pub versus the stuffy academic "how-to" tone of other similar titles.

Jason is the king of experimentation and thinking outside the box. That is what makes his book so unique and valuable to trail runners of all levels. No matter how seasoned and experienced you are, this book will teach you something new. From essential survival skills to how to motivate yourself with sex, Jason's irreverent sense of humor and unheard-of perspective makes this a must-read for outdoor lovers everywhere.
Very entertaining! Many excellent and creative hints on a variety of subjects. A good read for anyone interested in the outdoors and especially trail running.
I disagree with the reviewer who says this book is valuable to runners of all levels. The bulk of this book is kindergarten level. I regret spending the money on it. if you want a how to guide to trail running read some of it first. if you want to spend some money on entertainment I would recommend something else.
