I found this book to be loaded with information that new students can use in our Astronomy lab. It covers telescopes, CCD imaging, Finding stars and constellations. We plan to but 24 copies to have in our lab. The language is easy to understand and the illustrations superb. Was this review helpful? Yes NoThank you for your feedback. I teach An Astronomy and Space Technology course at Wake Tech community college in North Carolina, and this book is a great first time book for the general adult who wants to learn about the subject. I wanted to find a book that would have a lot of pictures and have detailed knowledge of the different sections of astronomy. I also wanted it to be current and it is. As an added bonus, it contains a small planisphere, which every observer should have. Having it in the book saves the student a few dollars, and lets them get started right away I do find it missing historical information, which is very important in teaching this course. But overall, very good. Was this review helpful? Yes NoThank you for your feedback. Report this reviewThank you, this review has been flagged.
