Hardworking journalist Sean Wallace cannot believe his good fortune when he lands a high-profile story about a bank vice-president who embezzled money. Randomly selected to write positive public relations columns about the accused's family, Sean sees his career as a reporter skyrocket with the chance for exclusive material. His life finally seems to be going his way.
Enter Esmerelda Van Heeder. Her life appears to have spiraled out of control. As the daughter of the guilty vice-president, Esmerelda is now being followed constantly by a journalist who is using her tragedy for his personal gain. However, Esmerelda believes that God designed this situation for a purpose, and she uses Sean's captive attention to be a witness for Jesus Christ and the God that created the universe.
Sean thought his job would be easy. He soon finds that at every turn, Esmerelda is challenging his humanistic theories with her staunch faith in a loving and logical God. Sean only has a week to cover the story; Esmerelda has six days to win Sean to the Lord. He think he needs to change the mind of the city, but it is his heart that needs transformed.
