Sadly, the evangelicals never tell us of the REAL Jesus.. the loving prophet.. the spiritual thinker and teacher.. They are hell bent on spreading their dogma, prejudice, and nonsense.. This book is a prime example and precisely why it got such abysmal ratings!

This book does little more than call Mr. Tolle misguided because this author sees Tolle's book as different from the author's interpretation of scripture, and therefore Tolle is at best psychologically delusional and at worst in the grip of Satanic forces. What is obvious is that this author is missing the point, as well as being slanderous and insulting. But ultimately, the proof is in the pudding, as they say. Who is leading a happier more prosperous and loving life, among these two? Whose message has felt true to more hearts and souls around the world? I hope readers will step back and look at the results and the realities and make up their own minds, and not just take this author's word for it. This book will make very little difference in the scheme of the unfolding of the consciousness of the universe, and is not worth getting angry about, but is worth feeling compassion and forgiveness for.

Is this the best that the closed minded people of church dogma can do to nuetralize the beauty and wisdom of Eckart Tolle's message? This is swinging wildly in the dark. What a closed view of reality.

The auther surely misunderstood eckhart's teachings, but we should forgive this man because he is still trtapped in the ego.

You will love this book if christianity makes sense to you, but if it doesn't then you will not enjoy it at all. All anyone can do is read some of both versions and decide for themselves which rings true for them.

the person who wrote this book obviously doesn't get it. look, if you're a fundamentalist christian, you'd best stay away from "the power of now." you wouldn't want anything to make you question everything you've been taught to believe.

(Note: my star rating is irrelevant as ive yet to read this book but could not post this comment without adding a rating) @DenCleBren: I suppose one would read this book after tolle's (even knowing its a christian author and despite their personal beliefs) because of the same curiosity that came over me upon stumbling across it. Which is that it is incredibily ignorant of any persons to condem any book without having read it first themselves. In this case, reading both would be entirely necessary before coming to a personal conclusion about the topic at hand. I, personally, just finished a new earth and stillness speaks and the information provided assisted in increaseing my awareness, regardless of oprahs opinion. I found the book to be very profound and reccommend highly (eckhart tolle's a new earth and stillness speaks, that is). I intend to check into this book about tolle's supposed deception and come to a conclusion on my own, for myself. I advise everyone do this and not allow themselves be led as cattle and told what they should believe Think for yourself. lots of love. -Tay

If you drove a firetruck all your life and then tried to buy a sedan you would keep wondering where the hose compartment was, why there weren't any ladders, why the siren and beacon were removed, etc. He didn't read for information only to condemn and took most of his comments out of context and then added scripture to make himself sound pious. If you want to get the same feeling this book gives you, drink a cup of cocoa, get your teddy bear and stick your head under your pillow, maybe it'll all go away. Maybe world peace, the end of hatred and discrimination, and the fact that we are all part of the same thing will disappear.
