Best-selling men’s ministry author Robert Lewis knows what you’re thinking: What’s a man doing writing a book about women?
The answer is: because women strongly encouraged him to do so! Per their request, having seen so many positive changes in the men in their lives, The New Eve is an equally stirring counterpart to Robert’s teachings on authentic biblical manhood, powerfully defining Christian womanhood in the context of the modern world.
He says, “Many women lack a clear, compelling, biblical vision for what it means to be a Christian woman living in the twenty-first century. They are stuck with images mired in 1950s terminology or given license to indiscriminately pursue a modern life that overlooks divine directives, bringing confusion and regret.”
In essence, The New Eve sets forth and expounds upon five “Bold Moves” for today’s discerning woman: Live from the Inside Out; Adopt a Biblical Definition of Womanhood; Embrace a Big-Picture Perspective on Life; Live with the End in Mind; Use Wisdom with a Man.

“I never thought a book written by a man could give me such an eye-opening picture of who I should be as a woman.”

Shaunti Feldhahn, bestselling author of For Women Only

“Women today have unprecedented opportunities and possibilities before them, but this great new freedom also brings a new dilemma: how to make the best choices for their own good and that of their families. In The New Eve, Robert Lewis gives women of all ages a picture of what God intended for us from the beginning and a clear vision for how we make choices that liberate us to live with purposeful direction. No matter your stage in life, all women can benefit from his coaching. I highly recommend it.” ??

Barbara Rainey, co-founder of FamilyLife

“Robert Lewis sounds a much-needed message as he calls women to walk in the feminine freedom and fullness that result from embracing our core biblical callings. The New Eve dispels the current cultural fog regarding what it means to be a woman, by looking to God's design as revealed in the Scripture, for wisdom, insight, and direction."

Robert Lewis has given us a 'jewel of a tool' to equip women of all ages to make wise choices. A few weeks ago, my 25-yr. old daughter told me that she and a couple of her friends wanted to do a Bible study. I recommended The New Eve. She said, 'My friend, Megan, is already reading that book and she loves it!' I suggested that the girls meet at our house and offered to facilitate the meetings. We had our first session, watched the dvd which comes with the book, and answered the questions. WHAT A BLESSING for me to witness these young women making conscious efforts to turn away from the world's seductions and lead godly lives! And, what an opportunity for a 55-yr. old to connect with 25 year olds, hear their perspectives and challenges, and be allowed into their inner circle. I highly recommend this book for women of all ages and stages in life. Ginnie C.

This book is full of faulty research methods and very little Scripture. The author attempts to lead women into making better decisions than Eve did in the Garden of Eden. However, since he leaves God out of the equation for most of the book, he's truly just allowing Eve to do what Eve does best--live in her sinful nature, searching for power, and making this life all that she can for herself. Do not be misled. This book is not a "Bible" study. This is a self-help book.

The New Eve is a book that examines womanhood from a Biblical perspective like none other I have read. The five point definition of womanhood gives a clear goal for women today and how they should view their world and the world around them. The chapters on the seasons of a woman's life gives you ways to stategically examine how you are living as you move from season to season. In today's world, as women, we are bombarded with views on how we should live our lives. Robert Lewis gives us an instruction manual based on God's plan for us, combined with a sound Biblical perspective, so that we are making choices based on our core callings, not the societal norm. I recommend this book for women from 12 to 102!

I love The New Eve! It's so readable and relevant for women of all ages who are trying to figure out how to live well in a sometimes-confusing world. I found it to be practical yet profound. The discussion questions at the back and the dvd with coaching tips for small group leaders are all you need to lead a discussion group. It's a turnkey deal! It's ideal for the older woman who wants to lead a group of younger women who desire to walk God's path. The author gives examples of real women who have grappled with isses that all of us face and then uses biblical truth and principles to guide us to wise choices. I consider it foundational reading for every Christina woman, yet it's quite 'user-friendly' for the unchurched as well. I highly recommend this book! Read it! ~ Linda S.
