All Music Guide - Richie Unterberger
You know these guys are old-school pop-punk when "Hit or Miss" begins with the words "the needle on my record player has been wearing thin" at a time when CDs had been the dominant format for more than a decade. All kidding aside, this is a cheery but somewhat workmanlike pop-punk hybrid. There are choppy uptempo rhythms, spiky buzzing guitars, and youthful harmonies on these dozen concise, to-the-point tracks. It's not just the fact that all five of them thank their mom and dad in the liner notes that gives this major-label punk a wholesome veneer. For all the punk elements in the music, most of the songs are about girls and sticky breakups/heartbreaks
elationship snags, with some agonizing about identity and remaining true to one's ideals thrown on top. They may have a slightly snotty come-on, but they sound too optimistic, like they're having too good of a time, to seem truly dangerous. That's neither here nor there as far as determining whether the album's good, but since various bands have mined the vibe since the late '70s, you have to really do something interesting with the ingredients to make it special. New Found Glory doesn't do so in an original fashion, though the result is good-natured, and there were less likable young punk bands that could have been honored with a major-label deal in 2000.

    New Found Glory

The New Found Glory CD is definetly one of my favorite albums yet. It has good up-tempo beats that put me in a good mood, and the songs are never played out. I have been listening to this album for 3 months, and I amd still not sick of any of the songs. I can listen to the same songs over and over again and I will never get bored. The lyrics are great, and could be about something meaningless, yet it is still fun to listen to. Also, all of the melodies are similar, yet have their own individuality to them. I would definetly recommend this CD to anyone who enjoys punk music!

    New Found Glory

New Found Glory's newest CD is great. There is a fast punk beat and lyrics that just seem to flow smoothly with the music. It's impossible not to get hooked on a CD like this. After hearing the songs a few times, you're singing along. The tracks contain the right mixture of infectious punk rythms and harmonious vocals. The songs focus mostly on past relationships and have the ability to make you remember your own. Whenever I listen to this CD, I just have to move my body, wheather i'm tapping my fingers or jumping around my room. No matter what mood you're in this CD will leave you wanting more from this talented band.

    This is well smart

hehe, any self respecting punk-pop fans (who also like Blink 182, Fenix TX etc) shud buy this cd. Its one of them things which you can sing along to and the lyrics are really sweet on some of the songs. My absolute fave is Hit or Miss, and i love jumping around my room, punking oot to that tune! p.s Jordan is sehr sehr cute ooooooh yep and the cover has kool pics on it!!!

A Cd you can actually listen to all the way through

You can put this Cd in your stereo and just let it play. At first you may not like one of the songs, but just let it play and you'll find that it will grow on you. It's a great Cd and there's something to like about every song. And it isn't one of those albums were all the songs sound alike and you can't tell what people are saying. Within listening to it one time you won't be able to not sing along. I love it. By the way, NFG is great live as well, the put on an awesome show.

    The Best Band Ever

New Found Glory is the best band ever and they are my favorite and always will be.Their songs are so cool. All the members of the NFG Crew are awesome.Ian is cool.Jordan has a great voice.Chad is great on the guitar.Steve is awesome on the guitar.Cyrus is the best drummer ever.He is the best drummer I have heard in a long time.Cyrus Bolooki is such a Hottie. He's so cool too.I can't wait to go to one of their concerts. The song ''Sincerly Me'' is about Ian used to having a crush on Jordans mom.The song ''Hit or Miss'',''Black and Blue'' and ''Dressed to kill are my fav. songs. On their other cd ''From the Screen to Radio'' is another great album because they did the remix of the theme song form Neverending Story and that has always been my favorite movie of all times.NFG RULES!!!!
