Raymond E. Brown, S.S. is former Auburn Distinguished Professor at Union Theological Seminary. He has served as presidents of the Catholic Biblical Association and of the Society of Biblical Literature.

Joseph A. Fitzmyer, S.J. is Professor Emeritus of Biblical Studies, Catholic University of America, Washington DC. He has served as president of the Catholic Biblical Association and of the Society of Biblical Literature.

Roland Murphy, O.Carm., is George Washington Ivey Emeritus Professor, Duke University, Durham, NC.
