New Killer America [Explicit Lyrics]

Editorial Reviews

All Music Guide - Jeremy Ervins
Skrape's 2001 debut album New Killer America brings hard rock to the forefront with a dazzling display of creative intensity. Due largely to the production of Ulrich Wild Powerman 5000, Static-X, Taproot, the album takes on a very groove-based, mysterious aura, which tracks such as "Isolate" and "Sunshine" best demonstrate. Raw guitar riffs are combined with a very catchy, overlaid vocal hook on the album's first single, "Waste." The band's energy seems to be directed toward song craftsmanship; every song flows very nicely and has its own distinct vibe, while sticking to the overall concept of the album. The guitars tends to sound slightly dry and dull from time to time, ...

The guitars tends to sound slightly dry and dull from time to time, which can relate to the lack of creative range in the heavy hard rock genre. New Killer America is obviously intended to quell this obstacle, as it does with much style and grace on most tracks -- especially "Sleep," a very melodic tune that, despite its title, really awakens the senses toward the end of the album. This album presents a very bright and intelligent approach to hard rock.

Skrape's new album NEW KILLER AMERICA is a must for any metal fan. With great music and terrific, hard hitting vocals, it will be flying off the shelves. The first release from this album, 'Waste', is a chart topper. Anyone who does not check this album out is not a true music lover...don't miss out!

You'd Have to Be Totally Isolated to not by this!!!!!

Killer New America is the title of the Amazing Debut Album From the sunshine-state born, sunshine-state bred SKRAPE. All fears and doubts over whether this is a good album are quashed when you place the CD into your player and the opening riff for ''What You Say'' kicks in. You know immediately that this is something special. With guitars that cut through you like a chainsaw and vocals that shake your soul, New Killer America is definitely one for the collection and will stay at the top of the pile.

    Killing American Youth

If anyone out there thinks they can handle one of the newest and best heavy metal outfits they should check out skrape. They have a good new sound, heavy for the most part but with a great mellow sound to them. Lost in the Limp Bizkit scene? Sick of all these flashy poser bands? Well society thankfully put out a band that you can be proud of listening to. Act now and you will recieve this cd with an awesome enhanced video of Waste. Waste is a good song (not their best in my opinion but it's a good sound.

    New Killer America

Skrape's debut cd, new killer america, has 12 tracks, and the cd is also enhanced with the video for their single waste. Words cannot describe the music on this cd. Every track, from the opening ''what you say'' to the ending track '' Blow up'' is just perfect. This is the best debut cd so far of the year 2001. Skrape have a guitar driven sound with great vocals. You will be getting alot for your money, and you will not be disapointed. Every track has a great sound, and you cannot really compare this band to any other new band thats around now. They blow the competition away. So, go to your local record store right now and pick yourself up the new copy of new killer america by Skrape. You will not regret it at all.

If you go out and buy one CD within the next month, I strongly suggest you buy Skrape¿s debut CD ¿New Killer America¿ you will not be wasting your money. With awesome songs like ¿What You Say¿ and ¿Rise¿ you won¿t be able to take the CD out of your stereo for weeks or maybe even months. Still a little edgy about buying the CD? Well then call your local radio station and request their debut single ¿Waste¿ to get a feel of what kind of music they are. with all the unoriginal, copycat, poser bands out there it is hard to find a cd that stands out. ''new killer america'' is a great example from a forward thinking band of how to stand out in a scene of nobodys. with the nice mix of electronics and heavy guitar work maked the melody a great experience. im very happy with the vocal style too. great live set. everyone should check this one out. go out and get it now!

    About Skrapes new CD!!!

If you are into the Deftones and have any taste in hard-rock, you know this cd will fill that void you have been wanting to hear. The melodic vocals and crunching guitars give you eargasms (thats right, eargasms -- every song too). Better buy this cd fast while its on sale! You dont want to wait on buying this cd, every song is the best! you will soon be posting good reviews about it too, i promise!

Excellent debut - prepare to be SKRAPED!

If you're a fan of heavy rock music, you're going to love this! Melodic songs, heavy guitars, excellent vocals - all these things make this album stand out as one of the best this year. Standout track for me has to be Waste, the first single - this is a crushing song with a great chorus that will just stick in your head. Check out the album asap, and try and catch them on tour!

Skrape is a new revolution in a era of male modles and teen icons

Skrape is a new band that absolutly rocks. With a strong bass line that will keep you lovin it the whole cd, great guitar rifs to make you want to get up and play air guitar, a great drummer that really makes you look like a fat man on a richard simmons movie, and a voice that reminds you of a old great.... Chris Cornell that will make you want to sing along no matter if your in the worst part of detriot ;) this cd is now my new favorite. The tracks are new and refreshing and really make all those other bands look like a band capton crunch reject. Skrape has set new boundreys for the music scence setting new standerds for metal. If you dont have this cd go get it as soon as you get some cash. You wont regret it i swear!

    Skrape is not a WASTE

There is a good reason that Skrape's smash-rock single ''Waste'' was the number 1 pick at the popular TuCows website during the week that their debut album was released. New Killer America includes the hit ''Waste'' along with 11 other hard-hitting tracks including the deep track ''Isolated.'' Coupled with Skrape's live performance, this album is a great example of what is yet to come from these 5 young guys from Orlando.

Band that is taking over America!

A CD has just been released from one of the hottest and most talented bands that has ever come out of Florida. SKRAPE is the name of this band. ''New Killer America'' is by far one of the best new albums out. There is so much raw energy in their music and seeing them live is even better. I bought their CD the day it came out and it hasn't come out of my CD player yet! If you love heavy music and blazing, awesome guitar riffs, you have got to check this CD out. I promise, ''New Killer America'' is one of the most awesome CDs you will ever buy.

    Skrape's INCREDIBLE new cd!

Skrape's INCREDIBLE new CD! Extreme, agressive hardcore serious nu metal music from Orlando, Florida. Vocalist Billy Keeton(absolutely amazing!) leads the way with powerhouse cuts like ''Waste'' and ''Rise'' ~~ Crank this up, these tunes are not for the faint-hearted - they're loaded with guitar-crunching riffs and high-voltage drumming. Check it out - you'll become addicted to this cd right from the opening track! -Skrapegrrl

    New Killer America

Skrape's debut cd, new killer america, has to be the best cd of 2001. From the opening track,What you say, to the ending Blow up, the music just never lets go. It is heavy, and emotional at the same time. The music is not just pure heavy metal, it features keyboards and an electric edge, which makes this cd so damn good!!!. If you want to buy one cd this year, make sure you buy ''new killer america'' you will never regret it. NEVER! :)
