Here is a peek into the private dwellings of London’s most exciting young talents from the worlds of music, fashion, design, and art.
Their “new London style” takes many forms, but above all it expresses a creative sensibility against the backdrop of one of the world’s most exciting cities. The twenty-eight houses in the book are loosely arranged by neighborhood and reflect the cosmopolitan melting pot that influences the city’s design trends.
Grimshaw and Rasmussen (Ibiza Style) visit the homes of 28 of some of London's creative talent, whose residences reflect their personal style. From Hampstead to Chelsea, a description of the area and history of the dwellings are supplied with an examination of the inhabitants' lifestyles and approach to decor. dos Santos (Simply Contemporary) and Torolsan take a similar approach in their consideration of 27 homes in Turkey, including a chalet in the Bolu Mountains, a mansion on Princes Islands, and a loft in Istanbul. They provide the history of the dwellings, which reflect the ethnic influence of each area.
