I had to listen to this one a few times before I could decide whether I really liked it or not ... That usually means I don't like it, but that isn't so in this case. I have been a fan of Dion's late 50's and early 60's sounds for many years and he sounds a bit different today than 40+ years ago. That said, some of the old songs recreated on this CD sound really great!! "Where or When" sounds almost exactly like the original recording and Dion does sound very much like his younger self on that track ... "I Wonder Why" "Lovers who Wander" "Ruby Baby" and "Runaround Sue" are also great renditions and Dion sounds pretty close to his younger self on those. My favorite song on the CD thus far is "Runaway" which is an old Del Shannon tune that I have never heard Dion sing before. It's a little changed up from it's original form, but I actually like it better than the original (Dion's voice is in great form on this track). It's very fresh and could be a hit if some radio stations would play it. I had a local D.J. play it over the weekend and he loved it as well. Great work on this album Dion!! I always wanted to hear how he would sound if he recorded these songs today - and now I know. You've got to buy this one - you won't regret it! I just wish a couple of these songs could get some decent radio air time. There just doesn't seem to be a market for it on radio ... Oh well - rock on Dion! See you in concert 11/01 in Clearwater, FL !!

Bought this CD from seeing the DVD Dion:Live. What a excellent concert. His band is terrific. You won't be sorry. Buy Dion:Live and you will wear it out watching.
