Meet the Author

Jade Teta has a bachelor's degree in biochemistry and is a doctor of naturopathic medicine. In addition to his medical training, he is a NSCA certified strength and conditioning specialist and an American College of Sports Medicine health and fitness instructor.

Keoni Teta has a bachelor's degree in biochemistry and chemical engineering, a master's in environmental engineering, and is a doctor of naturopathic medicine with a master's in acupuncture. He is also a NSCA certified strength and conditioning specialist and an American College of Sports Medicine certified health and fitness instructor.

    Turns on your fat- burning hormones, rather than starving the body

    I bought this book as I liked the idea that there had to be another reason I was not losing weight other than starving myself. It turns out: your Metabolism can be changed. Imagine an exercise program that keeps your metabolism elevated burning fat for up to 48 hours after the workout. And if you know what to eat and when to eat it, you would be in short time a "fat-burner" (as opposed to a muscle burner)It is not hard to learn and it deals with problem number 2; that after losing weight (on traditional diet), we tend to put it back on. I think this book is an investment in a simple lifestyle that is sustainable, easy and is what works. I really like this book and recommend it as a fat-loss AND lifestyle book as it teaches principles to build health & fitness that are sound. The authors (Drs Teta) really have found a better way.
