    A revised & updated version of Dr. Hanser's classic work

    This book is a milestone in the realm of music therapy. The first edition was widely successfull and well-respected, but this version was updated and revised to reflect the lastest developments in the field of music therapy. Dr. Hanser provides valuable information for both students and professionals alike. Included topics in the book are an introduction to the field of music therapy, new clinical applications and techniques in music therapy for children, adolescents, adults, and individuals with specific handicaps, helpful case studies and anecdotes, and how to design, implement, and evaluate individualized treatment programs, including guidlines for beginning music therapists. John S. McIntyre, MD, Chair of the Dept. of Psychiatry and Behavioral Health and Former President of the American Psychiatric Association, calls this book 'A must for all music therapists and anyone interested in this exciting and effective modality of care. Extremely well-written, reflecting Dr. Hanser's rich and extensive clinical experience. Students as well as seasoned clinicians will find this work to be extremely valuable.'
