    Excellent study Bible...

Of all of my Bible translations this is one of my favorites. Along with my Darby/KJV interlinear and my Scholfield KJV this Bible has helped me understand the meanings of key phrases, verses, chapters and books of the New Testament. The outlines before each book are one of the best additions ever added to any study Bible; it makes memorizing subjects and contents of each book much easier. The footnotes are superb, focusing mostly on the spiritual significance of the verse or word and not so much on dates, times and places as many of my study Bibles do. I found answers to questions I have had since childhood in the pages of this book. If I was picked for the Survivor TV show, this would be my luxury item! If you love to study the Bible, this is for you. If you are reading the Bible for the first time, skip all of the confusion and get this for your first study Bible. A great gift for college students! The only reason I gave it 4 out of 5 stars was that I wish it included the Old Testament also, but for the quality of the contents, I give it 5 stars.

    An Excellent Pocket-book version

This is actually a pocket-book version of this new translation. Ideal for people who are on the go. The only drawback is that the footnotes of the larger versions are not available in this edition. However it is an excellent easy to read translation that is faithful to the original Greek.

Really helps in understanding the Bible

This new translation is my favorite for daily reading and in-depth study. I own several english translations of the new testament including two greek-english interlinear texts and have chosen the Recovery Version as my daily companion. The chapter outlines help guide you into the overall structure of each gospel or epistle. The footnotes not only aid in understanding but also nourish the soul and spirit in a fresh way.
