Meet the Author

David Chitty was born in a seaside town in South East England. He grew up as all others do except that he had an affinity for stories. He didn't enjoy reading them and often found them boring. As time went on, David wrote more and more until a teacher destroyed his confidence in his writing by bashing his stories. For years he didn't touch a story other than for school work and when he eventually did try and pick up the metaphorical pen again he couldn't get the words out. Finding himself unemployed and stuck at home all day David Chitty decided to try to write a book. Eventually it was finished and an old love had been rekindled. After much work and much trepidation, David published his first real attempt at literature; The Fang Series.

Tick Tock (Chapter one, part one)

"Saphire, if you see this message then Emerald is gone. Her presance will not be here to enjoy anymore. You see, I am looking for the source of your power that only you has. And every day you do not give me the source, something presouis is gone. Starting with yours falsely, Emerald. Statch all you like because tomorrow it'd be your fosters. And oh, they WILL DI<_>E!! D<_>IE!! DI<_>E YOU BI–" Gold turned off the T.V. her face paper-white. Silver's eyes were locked on the screen her face being whiter than Gold's. I stared at the ground mouth and eyes wide open. "Ruby's...gone...n-n-nuts," Gold sid in a hoare wispher. Silver still stared. I looked up, tears in my eyes. "Why would she want the source of MY power?" I asked, suddenly rage replaced fear, "WHY DOES RUBY WANT THE SOURCE!!" Gold shuddered. Silver remained frozen. I stared at the both of them. Our faces were white. Our eyes were huge. We witnessed a mur<_>der. A cold bloo<_>ded mur<_>der. Then a song played spookily, "Time is short, Tick. Time is short, tock. All is found tick. All is lost, tock. Tick. tock. Tick. tock." Then it ended. Silver was now staring at the clock.
