A Treasure Hunt finding the historic in the current

I saw this book at the Met Opera gift shop and bought for my mom who grew up in NYC/Long Island. many of the photos are a good deal older than she is, but she had a lot of fun with the comparison photos. Obviously there are many things that are completely changed and you won't find a trace of the old in the current, but it's surprising how many historical buildings, parks, besides the obvious, are still there. Like a treasure hunt for your next visit to the City.
