    great resource for tourists and natives

    i've lived in ny for 20 years and still find this book very helpful. i've purchased several copies for friends, and also leave one in my car. the layout of the maps are great and provides you with such useful information. small too, perfect for your bag.

    A Must-Have if You're Going to NYC!

    This compact directory of NYC is a Must-Have if you plan to see & experience the Big Apple! The directory is compact so it will fit into your bag without being cumbersome. This directory provides important contact information, maps of the neighborhoods in Manhattan, zip codes, listings (includes address & telephone numbers)of hospitals and late-night pharmacies, higher educational institutions,information on the subway and bus system, and pertinent data on hotels, theaters, museums, art galleries, restaurants as well as shoppoing. The directory also gives a nice diagram of Central Park w/information on sites of interest.There's also a section that enables one to explore the other boroughs, such as , Brooklyn, the Bronx, Queens & Staten Island. There is even a section on the airports that service the area, including a diagram of each airport. For the sports fan there are maps of the major sports stadiums. This directory/flashmaps is a GEM of a find and I'm satisfied with my purchase.

    NYC quick reference guide

    This is a great book which lists essential information, hotels, shopping, dining, transportation, universities/colleges/schools, museums and galleries on a map by area. You're able to find things quickly and figure out how to get there. The book is small enough (not bulky) to carry in your bag. Doesn't give you a lot of detail, but is perfect if you want find something fast.
