Dr. Allen R. Stevens has written the only New York City Taxicab Customers Guide. His experiencce includes writing his Ph.D. dissertation on the New York City taxicab industry, thirty-seven years experience in the New York City Taxicab industry, fourteen years experience training New York City taxicab drivers, and ten years experience driving a NYC yellow taxicab. He is currently in his twenty-eight year as a professor of sociology at La Guardia Community College, and is the founder and president of the Learning Institute For Employability, Inc., which is a not-for-profit that is serves the underprivileged.
