How can such a superior book be for sale for $75.00! It is worth at least double, this is better than a photo album. Love the pictures and informative captions. I look through this book every day.

This superb book will leave you spellbound. The photography is incredible, reflecting not only originality and artistry, but a keen eye and sensitivity to that intangible 'true spirit' of New York City. Every photograph in the book vibrates with color and is hand varnised, giving it a crisp glossy surface that brings the scenes to life. Copy is minimal and powerful. The reader gets a feelig that they are right there -- caught up in the rush and bustle or soothed by the serenity of the scenes. It is a very personal book, even for non-New Yorkers like myself. It is like looking over the shoulder of a friend or at a personal scrapbook they have put together. At first I balked at the cost, but all I had to do was start perusing it to realize what a bargain it is. This is definitely the discovery of the year! Try it and let me know if you are as captivated as I am!

    New York lives on !!!!!!!!!!!

As a former New Yorker, I am now the proud owner of this unique and colourful personalized photo album of one of the greatest cities in the world. A must have !!!!! The New York images are beautifully captured by the masterful lens of Gerald Hoberman and uniquely presented in this magnificent coffee table edition. Two thumbs up !!!!!!
