    The best of the best

When it comes to crossword puzzles, the NY Times Sunday Omnibus is a treasury of the most outstanding creations for real puzzle-lovers to work on. If the collection came out a bit more often, I'd be happier, but when it does, I can't wait to buy it.

Makes a great gift, or as a present to yourself.

This puzzle book was actually bought as a gift for my sister, who loves crosswords. She wrote this to me about it: "I plunged right in and did three right in a row as soon as I got home. Since then, I've waded through another 50+. They are WONDERFUL. So challenging, although I forbid myself from looking at the answers until I've filled in the whole puzzle. Truly a gift that keeps on giving."
