More About This Book

Overview

The dead have risen, and they are hungry. They are tough, they are lethal, and they are everywhere. Savage packs of the undead wander the world, feeding on the living. And they are getting stronger...

In Brattleboro, Vermont, John Mason and his beautiful young wife Sara believe that family can survive anything. When the apocalypse arrives they pack food, clothing, and weapons, then hit the road with their dog seeking refuge in the mountains of John's youth. There John and Sara, together with family, friends, and neighbors, build a stronghold against the encroaching mass of the dead.

The mindless walking dead are only the beginning of their troubles in this new, violent world. Something darker still is moving, and John, Sara, and the other survivors must unite and fight together or be torn apart by this New Zed Order.

    Solid and entertaining read

I thoroughly enjoyed this book and cant wait for the next one. There are lots of action scenes and some dialogue that is laugh out loud funny. I especially liked the dialogue between John and his wife Sara. I fully recommend this for anyone interested in the zombie genre!!

Zombies (with a leader) mysterious soldiers, survivalists and even ghosts! What more could you want? Really enjoyed reading this book. A different take on a subject that has been written to death. The only problem I had with this book is that it ended too soon. Looking forward to the next one in the series.

    Pretty good

A pretty decent read. 291 pages. I enjoyed the storyline but there are parts that definately needed to be fleshed out more and expanded upon or completely left out because they just didnt seem to fit, otherwise I enjoyed it. Hope there will be a sequel soon

    Good

All in all not too bad. It is fast paced and interesting, more on the survival end with some zombie battles. The husband and wife lead the story. There were parts it almost felt like two people wrote chapters on the book; one was using big words then it would almost be corny. Also some scenes just rang off key like when a close family member dies & the next morning the couple is giggling at breakfast and the wife brightly suggests throwing a big party that night to take peoples minds off things...this author has promise but needs to buckle down with his prose and direction.
