I can't find the Engish version of this book on here, so I'll review it under the Spanish version I guess. This was an excellent book. It does take a while to get into (about 100 pages). It's set in the 18th century, so the language is different. Add in the fact that this is a made-up world and you have more words and meanings to learn. The characters are all very well written and the plot is strong. I loved the book and can't wait to read the next one.

I'm glad I gave this book a 2nd chance! I read the Mortal Instruments series by Cassandra Clare and I love them their great reads and have a great story. At first when I read like the pro-louge of this book I was interested because I was so use to Clary and Jace. But recently I bought the book and desided to try it again and it's a great book! Once again Cassandra Clare gives you a strong female charcter and a captivating storyline. The diffrence between this series (the pre-quel to the Mortal Instruments actually) is that these books are more serious and seems to give you more mystery. Also there aren't alot of romanintic scenes with Tessa, Will or Jem as there is with Clary and Jace. Also not alot of comic relief the charcters are fairly serious which is not in the bad way just diffrent from the charcters in Mortal Instruments. But this Book really is Great! and it's cool because unlike some fantasy authors she doesn't make the mistake of re-writing the same story with just diffrent charcters. The story Of Tessa is unique and draws you in quickly after reading the prolouge(which can be a bit slow but it's worth the wait, trust me.) And of couarse since The Clockwork books are the prequels its cool to see how she connects some of the aspects of the charcters to The Mortal Instruments:) Great Book!
