Unexpected Undead Break-up

Nothing sucks the romance out of world travel like a boyfriend who may or may not have broken up with you in a hotel room in Brussels. Jane Jameson’s sexy sire Gabriel has always been unpredictable, but the seductive, anonymous notes that await him at each stop of their international vacation, coupled with his evasive behavior over the past few months, finally push Jane onto the next flight home to Half Moon Hollow — alone, upset, and unsure whether Gabriel just ended their relationship without actually telling her.

Now the children’s-librarian-turned-vampire is reviving with plenty of Faux Type O, some TLC from her colorful friends and family, and her plans for a Brave New Jane. Step One: Get her newly renovated occult bookstore off the ground. Step Two: Support her best friend, Zeb, and his werewolf bride as they prepare for the impending birth of their baby . . . or litter. Step Three: Figure out who’s been sending her threatening letters, and how her hostile pen pal is tied to Gabriel. Because for this nice girl, surviving a broken heart is suddenly becoming a matter of life and undeath. . . .

I love this series. I acutally stumbled across this series by accident but I am so glad I did. Its such a different take then most of the vampire series I have read. I love that the main focus is the main charachter and her love story just evolves through the books. Jane is such a plain "jane" character in the begining that everyone sees a little bit of themselves in her and as the series starts evolving you see yourself evolving with her. I love how funny she is and how she becomes almost schocked as she evolves from the plain boring libarian into the awesome cool vampire! I def. would recommend this series to all you vampire lovers out there.

I enjoyed the 2 previous novels in this series by her. This was the best one so far! Great read... I stayed up all night reading it!

Although, my level of frustration with Gabriel grew to epic proportions in this addition it is still worth the read :) It's just too funny, even if I did want to smack her boyfriend for half the book. I guess it's a good sign when you are so wrapped up in the characters that you start holding personal grudges against them. LOL

As always I laughed out loud at Jane's snarky remarks. This story was very engaging and fun to read. I highly recommend the entire series.

I've read and enjoyed all 3 books in the series. Jane is your girl-next-door who just happens to be a vampire. She's got Kitty's smart mouth and Sookie's soft heart but, unlike Kitty or Sookie, her world is not overly violent and the characters in these books are interesting, funny and quirky.
