This hooked me from the first chapter, opening up with a hot, angry sex scene that sets the pace for the rest of the book. Nicholi, the main character, is intensely resilient and determined despite the series of challenges he faces. .... The lines blur between good and bad, slave and free, desired and feared. The plot twists and turns, and I constantly kept wondering where Nicholi would end up, and with whom.
