Life Is More Than A Celebration

Newly divorced attorney Fiona Daniels is determined not to make the same mistake twice. Or wallow in self-pity. Instead, she decides to celebrate her newfound freedom at a divorce party, where she proudly unveils herself as a DFL (divorcée for life). It's a status that allows her to make the kinds of decisions she avoided in what has now become her past life. . .

But after one night with chef and restaurateur Nick Nathaniel turns into a series of increasingly passionate encounters, Fiona begins to wonder if she's made the right choice after all. Despite her insistence that their encounters add up to a non-relationship, a woman as smart as Fiona may still have some lessons to learn--about betrayal, forgiveness, and the redeeming power of love. . .

San Culberson has been an avid reader her entire life and feels privileged at the opportunity to share her imagination with others. She shops, writes, and lives in Houston, Texas.

The female character was way too emotinal and unsure of herself. I liked Nick but he put up with too much foolishness.

Fiona Daniels, like many others, found out that sometimes love does hurt. Newly divorced, she has formulated what she believes is a fool proof plan, with the hopes of avoiding another heartache. Fiercely fabulous, Fiona falls for a friendly face while toasting herself at her divorce party. She is totally pleased with the delicious night that they indulge in. What¿s done is done now on track, Fiona is looking to take her career to the next level. While lunching with clients, Fiona comes face to face with her scrumptious one night stand, Nick. Nick Nathaniel is a Chef Restaurateur divorcee with children. Although he¿s already sampled the goods, there is definitely a spark between Nick and Fiona. Nick uses Fiona¿s flawed way to stir up the magic ensuring that the two of them spend more and more time together. Firmly, Fiona denies what is obvious. Is there love in the mix? In The Nick of Time is uproariously funny. San Culberson has written a nice, light book that you are quickly drawn into and dying for more tasty treats. I look forward to more from the entire Daniels family.

Oh my God!! I cannot believe how much I truly enjoyed this book!! I really didn't have to much to read it when I first bought it, but Saturday night around 8 pm I started reading & I kept reading straight through til 1:30 am!! I had to stop at one point while reading. Not to give anything away, but when Fiona thought she was betrayed by Nick, I was overwhelmed by everything that was happening to her that I literally started shaking & I started crying so hard that I had to stop for a good five minutes to compose myself (plus the fact that I couldn't see what I was reading). Call me corny, I don't care but from the first page, the way the author portrayed Fiona & how the story overall was written, I knew I was gonna love this book!! All in all, I think the book proves that a heart can heal with time & be capable of loving again without suspicion or skepticism. I just happened to pick it up & I'm SO GLAD I DID!! BUY THIS BOOK-YOU WILL NOT, I REPEAT, WILL NOT BE DISAPPOINTED!!
