In this super-sexy Romeo and Juliet for the 21st century, the first in the Ruin and Revenge romantic suspense series, Castille (Chaos Bound) combines raw passion and barely leashed violence. Mobster Nico Toscani helps rule Las Vegas with an iron fist—as the bastard son of a deceased mob boss, he knows that showing weakness would undermine his power, already in question due to his uncle’s questionable morals. Computer hacker Mia Cordano wants nothing more than to distance herself from the violence and ruthlessness of the mob—but she can’t, because she’s the daughter of a rival crime family. When Mia meets Nico while doing a job, sparks fly. But given their feuding families, the resulting inferno could kill them both. Castille doesn’t romanticize the Mafia; the mobsters’ violence and questionable rationalizations of good and bad are clearly depicted, particularly with Mia’s ruthless and amoral father and her deeply damaged brother. Still, she skillfully draws her hero and heroine and several in their close circles in intriguing and realistic shades of gray. This is a deftly plotted page-turner that will leave readers panting for the next installment. (Dec.)

## Most of this book was FANTASTIC. In the beginning I was confused about who was who. Too many unnecessary secondary characters for sure. All thrown at us at once at which point I almost stopped reading this. But it was five bucks so I forged on...you know how it is. Then, after a few nonsense chapters it got good. Really good. The chemistry between Mia and Nico was tremendous. They were scorching hot together. The story was interesting, sexy, and a little bit shocking. What was most surprising to me was that I laughed out loud a few times and teared up as well. I actually cared about these characters. And I love that. Except of course Mia's dad and brother. They can both rot in hell. Anyway, I can recommend this book as long as you can get past the beginning story/character set-up (deducted a star). Will read again.

Revenge, suspense, passion, seduction, and lots of steamy scenes. This book literally has everything you can want in a mafia romance novel. Sarah Castille has another hit series starting here in Nico! Las Vega, the city of sin, the underworld for the mafia and the start of an explosive romance. Mia is the oldest daughter of Don Cordano, a mafia boss with a temper. Growing up her father was a cold-hearted man who often showed his displeasure with his hand. After finally escaping her father’s clutches, Mia now lives on her own and has a very successful computer hacking business. She tries with all her might to live her life outside of the mafia but when her father tries to marry her off to a rival family for his gain all hell explodes. Nico Toscani lives for the day he gets his revenge. He watched his father be shot in cold blood and swore that he would one day make the man who killed him pay. Nico is now the capo of the Toscani family and must work under the thumb of his uncle and cousin who seek to gain control of all of Vegas. As the illegitimate son of the former leader of the Toscani family, he can never claim the legacy that should have been his. Mai’s latest job is to hack into a casino’s computer system to check for security issues but when she is caught by a casino employee and delivered to the boss she is surprised to find it is none other the Nico Toscani. Nico is immediately intrigued by the beautiful woman, until he finds out she is the daughter of rival crime boss, the same man who killed his father. With a mutual attraction striving to break free these two must decide if they can put the past behind them and try for a future together in this dangerous world they were born into. I loved these two characters. Nico was smart, sexy, and deadly but had a softer side just for Mia. Mia was strong willed, defiant and won’t take crap from anybody, the perfect heroine for this book. I can’t wait to see what lie next for us in the series. I received an eARC of this book compliments of the publisher in exchange for my honest review and opinion. All ratings and opinions stated are my own.

Wow. Wow. Wow. This was so freaking awesome. I loved the elaborate and intense world that was created, I was completely lost to it. Excellent read. I was pulled in right from the beginning. Everything was so captivating and enthralling. This was so extremely well written and detailed. There was this fantastic build happening as this exciting world and all these interesting characters were introduced. Loved all the suspense! I loved Mia and Nico so much. But Mia, she was fantastic! So strong in this world where she had to fight so hard and endure so much. I just loved the strength she had and how she persevered through such a hard life. And Nico. Hello Mr. Mob Boss! He was so powerful and commanding, sexy and hot. Their chemistry together was so fantastic. It was like an electric connection. I loved their animosity and that push and pull they had with one another. I thought there was great character development and I loved watching all there drama unfold and them come together. There was conflict, ups and downs, and so much heat. It was all awesome! This was such a fantastic introduction to the Ruin & Revenge series series. There are a lot of different characters to in play, different dynamics and things happening. It was so exciting to read and I can't wait to see what will come in future stories. So much ground work was laid and I'm hooked! I love that it was told from three different perspectives. It added such a great and intriguing layer to everything that was happening. I thought it was a really fresh element that had me rooting for everyone's HEA’s. This world was raw, gritty, and violent and in the midst of it all, there were also these wonderful moments of levity woven in that I found perfect and very needed in the midst of all the drama. I thought there was a great balance between it all. I was just so into everything! I wasn't sure what to expect when I cracked this open but I am thrilled with the fantastic story I was able to lose myself in. If you need some sexy suspense with really hot mob guys thrown in and a tough as nails heroine, definitely give this a shot. I highly recommend it. It's a crazy world and an intense ride but so worth it! Complimentary copy received for honest review.

4.25 stars-- NICO is the first installment in Sarah Castille’s contemporary, adult RUIN AND REVENGE erotic, mafia romance series. This is Las Vegas Mafia boss Nico Toscani, and computer hacker Mia Cordano’s story line. Told from several third person points of view including Nico and Mia NICO focuses on the rivalry between two warring Mafia families-the Toscanis and the Cordanos. Years earlier Nico Toscani’s father was gunned down by a member of the Cordano crime family and in the ensuing years Nico has slowly planned his blood debt but when a sexy computer hacker hired by Nico’s security firm hacks into Nico’s heart our (anti) hero is taken by surprise to discover she is the daughter of his Las Vegas enemy. Enter Mia Cordano, the woman who will steal Nico’s heart. Mia is a head strong, high spirited and courageous woman whose fashion sense borders on the gothic and punk; the daughter of the Cordano Don, Mia is a woman who refuses to accept her position within the Mafia family. Following years of abuse at the hands of her father and his men, Mia has ventured out on her own only to be pulled back in when her father has promised her, as payment, to the Toscani family. Nico is a man determined to destroy the man who took his father’s life but his attraction to Mia places Nico in a precarious position when the two families find themselves in a literal war. Nico’s place within the family is questioned and he has yet to assume the mantel of Don due in part to his mother’s status; he has a softer heart than most men in his position. The relationship between Mia and Nico begins acrimoniously. Mia was hired to hack into Nico’s computers, and Nico believes our heroine is responsible for a bloody vendetta between the families. Mia and her sister are nothing more than a bargaining tool for the Cordano family, and it is Nico’s life that is threatened when Mia refuses to abide by the family rules. The $ex scenes are intimate and intense. We are introduced to several member of the Cordano and Toscani families-both by blood and by Mafia association. Not everyone will survive. NICO is a dark, gritty and somewhat brutal look at life in the Mafia. Women are considered fodder; collateral damage in a war between two powerful families; nothing more than a byproduct of negotiation and exchange. Some readers may find the treatment of women vulgar and abusive but such is the life in Sarah Castille’s Mafia families. NICO is an abrasive, raw and imaginative story line about forbidden love, Mafia politics, power and control. The premise is emotional and heartbreaking; the characters are controversial, tragic and colorful; the romance is provocative and passionate. NICO is a seductive and dramatic story line from the pen of Sarah Castille.

Independent reviewer for Archaeolibrarian, I was gifted my copy of this book. Nico wants revenge for the death of his father at the hands of a rival Don, ten years previous. He never expected the beautiful hacker hired to test his casino systems to be that man's daughter. But Nico's reaction to Mia is powerful, almost as powerful as her reaction to him, and their joining is inevitable. When Mia's younger sister is subjected to the abuse she suffered at the hands of their father, Mia knows their only salvation is Nico, their father's arch enemy. You know, sometimes, you are reading a book, its a good book, its engaging. It has some dark moments, some sexy ones, even one or two lighter ones. And it ends a little differently than you saw coming. Told third person/multi point of view. All in all, looking for a 5 star rating when you are done?? But you left with . . . . .four stars stuck at the end of your pen when writing the review?? This book, right here. Don't get me wrong, its a bloody good book, a great book, even. I loved Castille's Sinner's Tribe series, and this is a much darker read, I thought. Nico and Mia are fully aware of the situation they are in, and the consequences of their actions. They know doing what they are doing could end up with both of them dead. And I loved them! I really did. They both have their say, too. And they have much to say about each other! Another character has a say too. And it took a little while, or rather, it took ME a little while to slot that character in with Nico and Mia. It carries a little more violence than I usually like, but its not the Mafia stuff that bothered me. Its the abuse Mia and her sister, and indeed, their mother, suffers at the hands of their father. I didn't much care for that BUT!!!! Thats not it. Its only because it steps a little too close to home. I just can't figure out why my pen, and later when typing up, my mouse, won't let me click that 5 star button, and you know how much that pisses me off!! Not being able to word what I want to say is stressful! BUT!!! I want to read more. I want to know what happens when Nico and Mia merge their families. I want to know what happens to Mia's little sister and the above unnamed character. I want to know how its all gonna come out in the wash! 4 solid stars **same worded review will appear elsewhere**

Loved it - can't wait to read more in this series! This is the first novel in a steamy mobster series by this this talented author. Set in Las Vagas, Mia Cordano is the rebellious daughter of one of the leading Mafia families in the area but she wants as little to do with him and the mobs as she can get, especially after her father had her boyfriend killed in front of her. She left home to go to study computing and has now set up her own company which specialises in determining if the systems used by clients are secure, well protected and robust. She's been contracted to ascertain if the system in a casino owned by Nico Toscani is secure but is caught whilst trying to covertly test it because she stabbed a security guard who tried to grope her! She's taken to Nico and their mutual attraction makes things hot, very quickly! However, Nico's father was killed by a member of Mia's family ten years ago, leading to a vendetta between the two families . . . . Romeo and Juliet have nothing on these mobster families and their forbidden love! With behind the scenes action, an undercover police officer with a young daughter who is in danger, and a hard headed, determined, alpha male would be Don, this is an intriguing read, with very deeply developed characters who it is easy to relate to. Don't believe all you think you know about motivations and attitudes, sometimes folks hide their true selves behind a facade of deception - and that applies to both genders! This is a fast paced read, with plenty of mob action and steamy romance. It is a page turner start to another enthralling series by this highly entertaining author and I look forward to reading more from her in future! I requested and was given an ARC of this novel with no obligation via NetGalley. This is my honest review.

Nico by Sarah Castille Ruin and Revenge #1 Hot alpha males abound in this book and each one deserves to have his story told! I applaud Ms Castille for creating a book that does not make the Mafia a nice place but a place that some call home and why they might do so. In some ways Mia Cardano and Nico Toscani have a bit of the Romeo and Juliet going on for them since they are from feuding (Mafia crime) families and even have a blood feud going on BUT in other ways the two are so much stronger than Shakespeare’s hero and heroine and their story a whole lot darker. Neither have had an easy life and both have expectations put on them by their families that do not go along with their own. They walk a tightrope that should a misstep be made while crossing could be the end of them. Mia is smart, strong, savvy, sensual and a handful unwilling to be the “Mafia Princess” or even pretend to play the part – she pays for that. Nico has a crew that he trusts and is high up in the Toscani family BUT with his father dead and others in the family holding the power-seat he believes he should be in things are a bit dicey from time to time. Set in Las Vegas with more than one Mafia family wanting to be the only player there is a lot going on. This first book sets things up for the power plays that will no doubt occur in the future books of the series and also provides a HEA for Nico and Mia. I loved this book, look forward to reading the next in the series and would like to thank NetGalley and St. Martin’s Press for the ARC. This is my honest review. 5 Stars

Absolutely loved this story! Every single page of it. If this is how the entire series will be we are in for a fantastic ride! The series is set in Vegas with factions within families warring for control as well as families warring against each other. Revenge is at the core of this story but when Nico Toscani falls for Mia Cordano, the daughter of his enemy, who Nico is seeking revenge against is distorted and the need not as powerful as his need for Mia. Mia is a strong, independent woman who has been struggling to remove herself from her controlling and very powerful father. She never played the role of Mafia princess well so falling for a top ranking Capo definitely wasn't in her plan. Put this one on the must read list, it's fantastic! I highly recommend it.

4.5 Stars! This is what I would call a true Mafia romance. It isn't a pretty package and our heroine suffers some major injustices, some from the Hero. I spent a lot of this book wanting to rage for Mia. No matter what she did, she just couldn't win. She was a true Mafia princess with a fire no one could put out. I admired Mia from beginning to end. If you can admire a mob boss, Nico earned it. He was a true Mafia man but with honor. He wasn't clean but he wasn't dirty, walking a fine line in between. The author did a great job of drawing the reader into this world, leaving us wanting more. I look forward to Luca's story next. ARC provided by NetGalley.

Wow, this is an exciting beginning to the Ruin & Revenge series! It is so exhilarating, emotional and sexy! It also included some perfectly place levity, which I so needed at times! This tale was so expertly crafted, moving sinuously between scenes that kept me in suspense, on the edge of my seat, and completely captivated from start to finish. I have been known to peek ahead when I need to know everything will be okay. I was so tempted, but I held myself back, and loved trying to figure out what will happen next. Las Vegas Mafia boss, Nico Toscani is confident, charming, sexy and deliciously dominant. He has met his match with smart, strong, determined, and sexy computer hacker, Mia Cordano. He loves her sass and how she holds her own and will not give in easily to him. When he finds out she is a Mafia Princess to a rival family that he met years ago, he tries to stay away. But as their paths cross repeatedly, their attraction cannot be denied. I absolutely loved Mia! She was not going to continue being a victim in the male dominated mafia life. She would fight for her freedom while still being loyal to her family. Her father wanted her to dress in pink frills and she rebelled with her punk-rock style and becoming a computer hacker. She started her own business helping companies with their security issues which is how she meets Nico. Nico has been biding his time before he can avenge his fathers death. He has built an empire that has earned him a reputation that Mia respects. The more time she spends with him and gets to know him, the safer she feels. They realize they can truly be themselves with each other and not feel vulnerable. But Mia never wants to be part of the mob again so she fights their attraction. Nico has his own secrets that will tear them apart or get them both killed. I love Nico and Mia and I love them together. They challenge each other, their witty banter is their foreplay leading to a passion that is fiery and explosive. There are also many secondary characters that added to the intrigue and suspense. I especially loved Mia's funny and loyal best friend, Jules. She was so great, I would love to learn more about her. I was fully absorbed in this thrilling, and extremely sexy story and I can't wait to read Luca's story next!
