The Night before Valentine's Day (Turtleback School & Library Binding Edition)by Natasha Wing, Heidi Petach
As a classroom engages in parties and games, a surprise visitor brings a Valentine's gift for the wholeclass!
Children's LiteratureIn a take off based on the famous Christmas poem, this variation describes activities on the night before Valentine's Day. Kids have their scissors and glue out, cutting paper hearts and decorating them too. At school, everything is pink and red, from the streamers and hearts to balloons hanging by a thread. Teacher gets a bouquet from her secret admirer and the kids play games, exchange cards, and have a great party. Even the principal joins in the fun by pretending he is Cupid and leaving the kids a soft furry bundle of love. 2000, Grosset & Dunlap, $3.49. Ages 4 to 7. Reviewer: Marilyn Courtot

The story flowed just like The Night Before Christmas except the holiday had changed. My 5-year-old granddaughter loved it.
Fun book for preschoolers
This book is a take on the night before Christmas. It talks about how children are preparing for Valentine's Day. It would be good to give as a gift or to read to little kids.
I love all of the "Night Before..." book! They are a fun way to prepare for holidays and special events like starting kindergarten.
