For someone who can not stand having to read 'historical' romances, thrillers, etc., due to the long winded verbiage, I found this book to be a wonderful and thrilling surprise. A help desk employee at B&N referred the book, and I was hesitant to say the least. But, once I started reading, and getting pulled into the thrill and wonder of the storyline and its rich characters, I was looking forward to when I could pick it up again to continue the quest with Corday and La Flamme. Give it a try, you will be pleasantly surprised. Take it from someone who is extremley choosey due to time constraints from her career!
