Editorial Reviews

Children's Literature - Susie Wilde
Pleasant Company's new "History Mystery" series will be welcomed by those who have devoured their other books. There's much going right in these books, which combine history, suspense, and the strong heroines Pleasant Company is known for. The series launches with a set of five stories and there will be more for those who become addicted, though unlike their beloved doll-inspired series, these heroines will change. There is a great range in the mysteries, challenges faced by heroines, locales, and time periods. The Night Flyers takes place during WWI and Pam, who lives in North Carolina, wonders if an enemy spy is stealing her pigeons.

If you like adventurous and mysterious books than The Night Flyers is the book for you. I would recommend this book to everyone who loves animals and adventures. The book The Night Flyers is perfect for boys and girls because it has information on historical times and it has so many mysteries yet to be solved. I would rate The Night Flyers five stars because of its adventure and mystery. I really enjoyed this book and i think you will to.

Great Book and atleast my sister doesn't have Ditsey reviews

I loved this book. It was the best. This is what you always read in these reviews (hint, hint, wink, wink). I do agree that this book is wonderful. The auther brings Pam to life. Her writing is wonderful. However, some of her other books really stink. I wouldn't read Secerets on 26th street or Watcher in Piney Woods. Boring! Another thing that is boring are reviews that only say "The Night Flyers is for all mystery lovers, even if they aren't too intrigued with history", like the reviewer from September 10th told us. She also said that my sister, Astrea, spells like a seven year old. She writes reviews like a seven year old. GET IT! Anyways, this is a wonderful book for middleschool level girls (and boys as well).

    Finally a good History Mystery

Just when I was going to give up on the History Mystery seris I read this. I was surprise at how exciting this book realy is, since the last two weren't my style. I truely beileve that this book has definantly deserved it's award. This book has both suspence and excitement, the two things that mystery books call for. I recomend this book for ages 10-12.

    Great Book!

The Night Flyers is for all mystery lovers, even if they aren't too intrigued with history. As studies have shown, children who read books they like have better grammar and spelling skills. However, 13 year old Astrea, who also reviewed this book on July 18, 2001, has the spelling of a seven year old. It wouldn't hurt to have her read some more History Mysteries. P.S. "Siris" is spelled "series" SERIES! Got it?

    A Real Quality Book!

This outstanding, wonderfully written book deserves more than one award. It is a book of suspense and keeps you turning the pages. The ending has an unexpected turn which makes it a real, quality mystery. By far, the best history mystery yet. Help Pam solve the mystery of THE NIGHT FLYERS! Take advantage of an award winning book and an outstanding author!
