"Bringer of Death", "Evil One", "Most Despised", "Leader of the Damned": all of these were names that Alkinai (Kin) had worn arrogantly for most of his life.
He took pride in each name and allowed them to be bullet points on his résumé. He was one of the most powerful and most feared men in the land. Yet, he was lost. Dreams plague his mind and torment his soul. When the woman that has held his heart for a decade walks away, he finds himself torn. Little did he know he was to be a father.
Will the possible loss of his family be enough to make Kin take a look at the choices that he's made? Or will the engrained nature and bloodline of his father rule his life and turn his heart costing him his Intended and a place in the life of his unborn child?

A unique blend of paranormal creatures. Alkinai must battle his demons and learn the truth about his parents. Katana is his sanctuary, yet she has never been obedient or subservient like he had expected her to be. She could give as good as she got. Unsure of the changes and upheavals in his life, she is his sole comfort. Until he unintentionally hurts her and drives her away. Can he make amends before it is to late?

I enjoyed this book. It was different from the norm even though it still had shifters. They where a different type of shifter though then what you may be used to. It was a good plot and left a few questions that I can't wait to be answered in book two. I enjoyed the characters very much although I found myself wanting to know more about side characters than the main ones especially Kin's siblings. That whole storyline fascinated me and I'm extremely curious to know where it goes and how it happened in the first place. Will most definitely be reading the next in this series. Was this review helpful? Yes NoThank you for your feedback. Report this reviewThank you, this review has been flagged.

I was given a copy in exchange for an honest review.
Night Hunter is a great love story with a paranormal twist. I enjoyed how strong of a female character Katana is against her alpha male counterpart. While she may consider him her intended (meaning her soul mate) she doesn't let him boss her around. Which is something I like to see when I read novels.
The only thing that made me deduct a star was that I didn't read a lot of dialogue between the characters and at times throughout the book you'll get an info dump. But this is just my personal preference.
Other than that, the plot is great and the sex scenes are HOT HOT HOT :-)
