Editorial Reviews

Children's Literature - Marilyn Courtot
The soft blue tone with a crescent moon and two animals snuggled together on the cover would indicate that this is a quiet nighttime board book. The size of the pages is small but they are quite thick, but surprisingly lightweight which makes it easy for little hands to turn them. The rhyming text describes the approach of night with the sun sinking in the sky and the stars starting to appear. Animals like a little fawn are settling down for the night while an owl is hooting and a raccoon foraging (these are night creatures). The bear cub and rabbit appear to be settling down for the night and "crickets are singing just for you" states the text, and as the back cover proclaims, this is a "calming bed time story." Part of the "A chock-a-block book" series. Reviewer: Marilyn Courtot
