"The humans are weak. Their skin is soft, and their minds dull from years of safety. We are the vicious. We are the destroyers. Come the full moon, when our goddess watches our victory, we will taste of their blood!"

----

Wolf-men, savage creatures given humanoid form in an ancient war, mass along the Gihon River. Led by their packleader Redclaw, they seek to cross the river and claim a land of their own, slaughtering those that would stand in their way. Two paladins, Jerico of the god Ashhur, and Darius of the god Karak, must helm the desperate defense against the invasion. Their friendship will be tested as their gods resume an unending war, and their very faiths call for the death of the other. Together, friend or foe, they must face Redclaw's horde.

I first found the Half-Orcs series, and loved it. I then went on to find everything I could by Dalglish, and have not been disappointed! Each new book he writes gets better and better, and this is no exception. I can't wait until Paladins #3 comes out, so I can continue this adventure!

What captivated me about Night of Wolves was the positive relationship between the two main characters who represent opposing religious ideals, Jerico and Darius. The struggles in perspective of the major players are well laid out, particularly that of Darius. The unification and strengthening of attachments the conflict with the wolfmen bolsters appears to be a major personal turning point for him. So, I definitely am continuing on with this series and will most likely pick up others of David Dalglish since it looks like they are all related.

Great book! This was packed with action! I like the characters & the plot. What was really great was how the 2 paladins of different faiths fought to save the village together! Spoiler: I was disappointed in the end. I was really hoping Darius would break away from Karak. With everything he & Jerico had been through together, I thought he would see thru the lies. Darius had some much good in him I disagreed Mr. Dalglish letting Darius contining along this dark path.

This was a quick, easy read. Great story line. Following these characters through their history helps to understand their roles in the Half Orc Trilogy. I began reading David's book last year and have already most of them. I am amazed at how well David has captured my attention. I dare say that you these books as captivating as I have.
