    Nightmare Academy

Nightmare Academy was a thrilling book that showed many views that teens see today. Either/or, Both/and, these are some of the quotes used in the book to settle arguments between the people. This book also has christianity written into it, saying how they pray to God and how in one part of the book Elijah and Elisha (the main characters) quote the 10 Commandments in one of the teachers class. This is a mysterious book of how a young boy named Alvin Rodgers is found somewhere in Idaho and he is insane. His thoughts, his mind, his reason for life is all gone. He mutters words that don't make sense. And he refers all of what he says and does to the Nightmare Academy. So Elijah and Elisha go on an investigation to this Knight-moore Academy, a summer camp for teens who can get high school grades if wanted, where you can be whoever you want whenever you want to be it. This drives Elijah and Elisha almost to their breaking points trying to find what happened to Alvin Rodgers and trying to save their own lives at the same time.

    I Also Recommend:

    Peretti is a master storyteller

    Review by Gretchen Hoffman

A fifteen-year-old boy shows up along a highway interstate. He doesn't know his name, how to dress himself, and has no memory of what's happened to him. He simply repeats the words, "Nightmare Academy."

This is when teenage detectives Elijah and Elisha come into play. They go undercover as runaways where the boy and his friend were last seen before their disappearance. The twins are quickly headed on the right track, but things change when they too disappear. They investigate the going-ons but are unable to contact anyone from where they are. But once they find out what's really happening, will they have a chance to escape and save themselves?

Peretti is a master storyteller with mystery novels, and this one is no exception. This book is a little darker than some of his other novels, and while it's good, it is a bit creepy. I read this book when it first came out, and the one scene where Elijah quotes the Ten Commandments has stuck in my mind ever since. This is one of those books that's intriguing, discusses some deep ideas, and will stick in your mind long after you've read it. If you're a Peretti fan, have read book one in the series, or are into mysteries, this is one for you.

    BEST BOOK SERIES EVER WRITTEN!!!!!

This book was so good!! I couldn`t put it down! The first book was really good too. I read them over and over again, in one day! Frank Peretti is a mastermind, a genious, and a great model for us christians. He, in his many books, shows that there is more to life than what we see. I love his books soooo much!

    Best Book Ever!!!!!!!

This is not only a great book, but it has many meaningful lessons that you can learn. It really makes you think. It made me think about how important truth really is. Without it our world would be total kaos! You can compare that room that Elijah was thrown into to some of the dreams we have. The dream may seem real at first, but then you see things that couldn't possibly be true, and you wake up. I think this book also teaches why we need God's commandments. I highly recommend this book to everyone!!!!!!!!!

OH. MY. GOSH. The absolute BEST book i have EVER READ in my ENTIRE life!!!!

I LOVED NIGHTMARE ACADEMY (The Veritas Project #2)!! I read this 300 page book in less than a day straight. I love mystery novels and I love Christian novels, and this book is both in one! Why is there only 5 stars? This deserves 7!!! If you want to read a good book this year, this one is it! Make sure you read it slow though, i made the mistake of rushing through it. FRANK PERETTI ROCKS! My only quesiton is this.... WHERE'S 'VERITAS PROJECT #3'?????
