Loved garrick rowe but couldnt connect with katy like i did the other women. All inall story was ok. Katy went through over half of the story as a shrew bur thawed out over night and married rowe. A lot of discrepancies in story.

I noticed a few mistakes in this book, Mrs. Garlock contradicts herself a couple of times (for example.. with a horse that gets shot and a relationship with a friend of the heroine). I felt that Mrs. Garlock must have started this book, put it aside at some point and hurriedly finished it. Although I love her work, this isn't one of her best. It is helpful, though, to learn about a few characters that appear in a lot of other books of Mrs. Garlock's.

This was the second romance novel I had ever read and the first of Ms. Garlocks. I have acquired and read every book she has ever wrote. I thank you Ms. Garlock for setting a standard for you characters above the rest that are out there. It has been most enjoyable for me.
