Meet the Author

Amanda Ashley is one of those rare birds-a California native. She's lived in Southern California her whole life and, except for the earthquakes, she loves it. She shares a home with her husband, as well as a fluffy Pomeranian named Teddi, a mischievous cat named Tigger, and a tortoise who remains nameless. Amanda and her alter ego, Madeline, have written 60 books. Not bad for someone who started writing just for the fun of it. Her books have made the New York Times List, the USA Today List, and the Waldenbooks Bestseller and Mass Market lists. Currently, Amanda is working on a third sequel to Night's Kiss.

    BORING!!!

I am an avid vampire fan and I can always find some redeeming quality in a vampire book. However, this book was beyond me. I never thought I would find a book that could turn vampires into bland, boring, and flat characters. The story is very predictable, and monotonous. I found it very difficult to finish, and when I reached the end, I was very disappointed. This is not a book for someone who likes vampires, and I would not recommend it for anyone's library. I was glad that I was able to return it and get my money back.

    Not what I expected...

I must say the book was kind of a disappointment. I am not saying it was all bad it had some saving qualities some laughable parts. But the story began slow and it took awhile to get into it. There was alot of boring fact that you did not need to know. I got the book because I also read A whisper of Eternity by her and I thought that book was like a preview of what was to come.. well I was not happy in this book.. The plot was ok , The Vampire was ok but some parts it was not what you would expect to come from a Vampire, and over all I lost the whole feel for it sometimes in the reading of the book..

    Jennifer Wardrip - Personal Read

Roshan DeLongpre is a vampire bored with his existence. He's been alive for almost three hundred years, and seen and done just about everything there is to see and do. He's read hundreds of thousands of books, seen the cities of the world change, watched innumerable moons rise in the night sky. But after all this time, there's no joy left in his life-only that unshakable need to exist, to survive.

All of that changes, when he sees a colorless pen and ink drawing of a woman being burned at the stake. The captions and ensuing story in the book tells him that Brenna Flanagan was suspected of witchcraft and subsequently burned for her sins, her ashes scattered after her death in a mountain lake. Unnerved by Brenna's rare beauty, and the eerie similarity between the mountain lake in the story and that of a painting hanging in his library, Roshan immediately sets out to determine who exactly Brenna Flanagan was. The fact that she looks eerily similar to his lost love, Atiyana, furthers his resolve to solve the mystery of who this woman was.

Feeling almost bewitched himself, as the artist of that small pen and ink drawing was purported to be, Roshan chooses to use his supernatural powers to do the unthinkable-travel back into the past and rescue Brenna before the angry mob can burn her for her sins. It sounds simple enough, and in fact, both Roshan and Brenna survive the trip through time, but now Brenna is thrust into a world where nothing is as she remembers-and the vampire Roshan is in serious danger of losing his heart.

As Brenna becomes more familiar with this strange new world around her, more problems come to light-Brenna loves Roshan more than she ever dreamed possible, but is frightened beyond belief of the vampire way of life. And when they both overcome their personal fears-Brenna of being turned, Roshan of giving his heart to another woman in marriage-both are unprepared for the personal sacrifices that each must make.

NIGHT'S KISS is a great addition to the stories of Amanda Ashley, who manages to blend the power of vampires and their world with that of the modern-day. Brenna and Roshan are a powerful couple, and their tribulations, trials, and sense of survival shine through in this engaging story of love and redemption.

    I loved it!

I really loved the way this book was written. Amanda Ashley does great work especially when it comes to her books and just the way she writes them. I loved the plot to this and the whole time travel too. The energy between Roshan and Brenna is just unbelieveable. (I get really into books especially romance.) It seems as though Brenna starts denying that she loves Roshan, but as she starts getting use to the future and the way things are she starts to amit that she loves him. I loved it and it was a great read to me.
