    more from this reviewer

    Highly recommended- Good vampire tale

I have to admit that I was a little apprehensive of getting this book. I really enjoy Emerian's podcast Horror addicts. I've just read so many vampire books that I just wasn't interested in reading a new on but because I liked her short stories so much I gave it a chance.

I'm sorry I waited so long to read it because this is really more then just a vampire story. The characters are well developed and likable. She does a great job of making you care about all the people in this book and the action is great. The book just gets better as it goes along and the last few chapters I was not able to put it down. So If you want a good read check this one out.

    Do Not Buy!

If I could give no stars I would because free is too much for this complete waste of time. 600 pages and all you have at the end is a headache! The story is disjointed and impossible to follow It's too long and has almost no substance, too late you realize that the absurd pieces of a story that you have tried to follow for 500 pages has turned into an altogether different story, almost like the last 100 pages is a completely different book! Ugh! I have never been so utterly disappointed by a book and I read everything! This can in no way be called literature in any form. Save yourself the frustration, trust me...

    PLEASE NO

No no no no N-O just NO!!! AWFUL!! I couldn't make it to the 5th chapter. This story line and plot made absolutely no sense. There was no clear train of thought or clear outline to any of it. The story went from one person to the next one and then there was no real point for any of the characters. I was really excited to read something new and wow, just no.

    disappointing

I enjoyed this book up until the last 100 pages or so. It felt like someone else wrote the ending?? 4 hours after finishing the book and I still have no idea what the 'gods' night, day, dusk and dawn have to do with anything. If Jespa defeated the bad guy (who was he again? The devil?) then why did the world end? And if the world ended then how could markham go back to Jimmy's farm? And where exactly did Jespa go? Another universe?? and what exactly was Martin's role? So strange - seems like this ending belongs to a different novel. For 500 pages I was reading about vampires and then suddenly I was reading about rulers of time?? Just a total waste of time.
