Meet the Author

PETER COOLEY was born in Detroit and grew up there and in the suburbs of the city. He graduated from Shimer College, The University of Chicago and The University of Iowa. With his wife and two children he lives in New Orleans, where he teaches at Tulane University. In 1981 he was the Robert Frost Fellow at the Breadloaf Writer’s Conference. His poems have appeared in Poetry, The New Yorker, The Atlantic, Three Rivers Poetry Journal and other magazines.
