Meet the Author

denise hays lives in Alabama, where she never has and never will eat poke salad. She loves to fiddle with writing, and write about fiddling. Except for the fiddling part, she’s not anything like Niki Edgar, which her mother will probably be happy to hear. Oh yes, and denise does love a Godiva every now and then. And maybe a margarita or two.

She lives on a farm in rural Alabama. She enjoys gardening, exercising, reading, music, and making pottery. She lives with her husband and a visiting cat named Elizabeth. She has three sons whom she adores and the sweetest daughters-in-law in the world.

denise graduated from the University of Alabama with a degree in Creative Writing. She is the author of several other books, but denise is a pseudonym, so good luck finding those 

    A MUST READ !!!

    This is the first book by denise hays that I have read - it won't be my last. Bloodhound is hysterical, intriguing, has great character development and mixes everyday life experiences that most women have had with a few not so usual twists and many turns. It's hard to put this book down. The writer lets Niki "get under your skin" and I tried to help her on every page. An easy read, a great story. Kudos to denise hays. I can't wait for her next book !

    Southern mystery

    Niki Edgar is smart, funny, and totally Southern! Would recommend this book to anyone looking for a good read...with an unexpected ending! Can't wait for the next Niki mystery.

    Great Read!

    LOVE this book. Niki is funny, vulnerable, edgy, and innocent - all rolled into one. Ms. hays' characters are well-rounded and believable. The story is fast paced, and I caught myself laughing out loud at Niki's responses to the circumstances around her. Wonderful entertainment!

    I could read when I had nothing else I could think of doing, not a can't wait until the next page or when done book.
