great book in a small package

This is a great little book. When I first bought my D300 I was mystified by all of the bells and whistles. This book has helped me figure out the camera quickly. Upgrading from my coolpix camera was a breeze with the help of this book. It gives insights and tips on a bunch of different scenarios. Not only do you learn about your camera you learn about photography in general. It's like a camera course that fits right into your camera bag. If you own a D300, BUY THIS BOOK!

    A reviewer

I found this book to be incredibly helpful. It has diagrams and pictures of all of the buttons on the camera and explains how to use each of them. It walks you step-by-step through all the menus on the camera too. The photography is great and the book includes lots of tips for taking different kinds of photos as well as a quick overview of photography basics like composition and lighting. I'd highly recommend this book to other D300 owners.
